Aerosoft HeathrowX vs UK2000 Heathrow Xtreme 3

Featured Replies

My VAS is the same with either UK2000 or the new AS EGLL. The new AS EGLL looks much better though IMO.

Now with AES support in version 2.36 I'm seriously considering getting the Aerosoft version of EGLL hoping it will be a bit easier on the FPS vs the UK2000 Xtreme 3 version.

All of you who bought the Aerosoft EGLL so far and especially all of you who came from the UK2000 EGLL are you happy with the Aerosoft version?

For those of you with quite low Frame rates, around 17-20 try disabling the service vehicles in the EGLL Traffic app that comes with the scenery, by doing so it has given me an increase in performance. Before I did so I was getting between 18-22fps in the PMDG 777 cockpit with AI Traffic at 30%, ASN real world weather and FTX Global + Vector. Now I am getting between 22-24fps in the PMDG 777 cockpit with the same settings, just no service vehicles. Try it out and see if it works!

This is a good tip, thanks for sharing!

I had the v2 of UK2000 Heathrow. I wasn't able test Aerosoft's Heathrow yet, but I'm happy with the scenery from what I have seen so far.

Thanks and sounds great but may I ask how you can be happy with a scenery you haven't tried yet ?

I took a quick look in the slew mode over EGLL ^^

Just read that IFlySimX will upload a comparison review between UK2000 and Aerosoft's Heathrow today.

Got it

I'm pretty sure I'll give the Aerosoft scenery a chance.

Still can't find any comparison review or am I looking in the wrong places maybe...?

Hello Richard,

There is a review and comparison that can be found over at Simflight.

http://www.simflight.de/2014/09/14/review-aerosoft-megaairport-heathrow-xtended-fsxp3dv2/comment-page-1/

It's in German though! The main review is for Simwings but the last section entitled "Vergleich UK2000 und SimWings" is the comparison. There's some small block of text that you could translate with Google Translator and the screenshots between the two are easy to interpret.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Mark

I already went ahead and bought the scenery and from what I've seen so far I think it will be great and an improvement over the UK2000 scenery.

Looking forward to try it out on a real flight online!

Anyone know why the Jetways don't work using CTRL+J with AS EGLL?

Just completed an online flight into the Aerosoft version of EGLL and in my case the ride was much more smooth vs when I had the UK2000 version 3 installed so money well spent
