October 6, 201411 yr I use it on my laptop. Love it. Will make the switch when it is released. William Sequeira
October 6, 201411 yr That video just seems to showcase a lot of "features" that I don't actually need. Isn't that a criticism of later versions of MS Office? I don't need them either. But at least the whole OS doesnt seem to be (quite) as in-your-face annoying as the last one We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. October 6, 201411 yr Moderator As a multi-screen user (I have four monitors on my dev machine), I am intrigued by the "snap to position" function that will be available in Win10. If I can actually get rid of the 'tiles' entirely and dock small icons on my desktop, I'll be delighted. Fr. October 7, 201411 yr Snap to position works great. My desktop looks just like my Win7 used to. No need to have tiles at all. If I do want the tile look, I just hit the Windows key on my keyboad & it toggles from tiles to normal. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
October 7, 201411 yr Moderator Thanks, Robin. I have a currently unused computer with Win8 loaded, on which I had planned to upgrade to Win7 64bin Professional... ...so probably now I'll download and give Win10 a spin instead! B) Fr. October 9, 201411 yr As a note for those who actually like the full screen metro start menu, it is still there! Right click on your taskbar and click "Properties", under "Start Menu" there is a check box for "Use start menu instead of start screen". Simply uncheck.
