I think with the right video card/drivers that supports DSR it should work regardless of the flightsim platform.....but have just started looking into this so take this with a grain of salt.....

Cheers

I actually asked Ben about that in the blog , it's almost the same as the SSAA that's already in XPX.

It should work with XP becuase there is no need that the developers will need to do somthing in order to make it work with XP.

Ben said that in terms of performance he expects the same hit just as SSAA in XP, but maybe Nvidia are using more sophisticated code or somthing that'll make the result better , so I wonder , if somebody tried it , how is the performance actually , and how it does affect shimmiring comparing to 4XSSAA let's say...?

If it turns out to be what it is promised to be ... I think we have a game changer.

Just bought a new GTX 780 6GB , wnat to buy a new PC also , can't wait to see what XPX looks like with this monster :D

Hmmm does P3d have RTH ?

You already know better.

I have just tried it using the nvidia inspector hack, on my GTX 770 4GB. I can confirm it GREATLY reduces the shimmering, however at a cost, it introduced stutters, well at least for me anyways.

Can you post screenshots please?

Also, how did you get it to work in X-Plane?

What AA are you using inside x-plane?

And how does it affect the FPS counter?

My AA in sim is the 2x option one with HDR enabled.

I did this:-

(you must have nvidia inspector)

turn it on by enabling NVidia Quality Upscaling in nvidia inspector.

FPS stays locked at 30 no problems, however the problem arises is the stutters, especially over cities where there are a lot of objects...... (this seems to have worsened anycase in x-plane 10.3 run...)

I have been noticing a lot of references to plug-ins and it seemed that when I took Gizmo out, things improved.  I went to the site (Google Gizmo) and downloaded an updated version and replaced the one I had.  This seems to have helped.

What options do you have in the Nvidia quality upscaling tab?

I have only 2:

0X000000

0X000001

It works. I did it.

Well... :) ?

How does it affect performance and shimiring? and what GPU do you have?

Look in my profile.

SLI 780's OC'd by 300Mhz on the core and 250Mhz on the memory.

4790K 4.7Ghz OC

No noticeable drop in performance. Looked very nice. I dropped back down to 344.11 as it the driver required messed every other game up that runs in full screen.

Thanks I have done that, minor improvement, but still the stutters occur over cities.....Well anywhere with a lot of buildings really. Really annoying as it did not happen in 10.25......
