October 17, 201411 yr Although it seems to be the unanimous opinion, I agree in thinking all current Aerocaches should become permanent, and future community ones can start as new AotDs.
October 18, 201411 yr Author Thanks everyone. It is possible the extra logging I enabled is dropping the frame rate. I'll do another build with some turned off now that we seem to have most of those issues sorted out.
October 18, 201411 yr @KavindaJD My latest findings. I decided to uninstall FTK just to see what would happen. I started Flight and by the way it booted up I saw I had Multiplayer back. The only thing that I had to do at the beginning was fly the Hot Air Balloon flight then I hit the Home key and saw that Steve was in menu with his CC parked on the dock at (PHTO), I waited for him to come back in but had to shut down before he did. I'm going to be doing a little more experimenting, and will report any findings. J. R.
October 18, 201411 yr Author No need to look into it. Multiplayer is not supposed to work in new versions of the toolkit. See my initial post on these releases: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/453241-flight-toolkit-10175-no-more-gfwl/. Also the release notes on the official page: http://flighttoolkit.com/?p=220 I guess I need to mention with every release from now on that there is no multiplayer? Can you guys try this new build and see if there are still performance problems? I also added the dx redist to the setup process: www.flighttoolkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/FlightToolkit_1_0_22_5.zip (NO MULTIPLAYER)
October 18, 201411 yr Steve, agora resolveu o problema de lentidão na minha maquina, muito obrigado pela correção da versão anterior, feliz voo de brigadeiro, continue o bom trabalho. obrigado Eliseu
October 18, 201411 yr @ stonelance I loaded FlightToolkit_1_0_22_5 and the problem flying has cleared up. I found out that I could load FlightToolkit_1_0_12_0 and still fly in Multiplayer, but the red X did not turn green. So for now I will uninstall FTK to fly Multiplayer and install FTK when needed. Thanks again for all your great work! :excl: B) J. R.

October 18, 201411 yr Author The red X only turns green when it successfully downloads your profile form the Flight servers. Since the Flight servers no longer work, that should never turn green, and I will probably just remove it. It shouldn't create any problems for you though.
October 18, 201411 yr it runs well here on my laptop and everything working fine :smile:Thank you Steve for your hard work!
October 18, 201411 yr Hi Folks re: AOTDs - Proposed conversions to permananent. Not a criticism, but please refrain from the bandwagon-jumping behaviours that lumbered us with our current situation. There are 350 actively available aerocaches, (351 including the deprecated/inactive "Curvature of the Earth"). A fair proportion of those, are 3rd party aerocaches, (non-MS), some of which are exceptionally trivial in nature. Additionally, a small subset of those 3rd party aerocaches, are duplicates of pre-existing MS aerocaches, created specifically to revisit previously acquired / made permanent, aerocache locations. e.g. duplicate of Kilauea Lighthouse, I'm not sure how many aerocaches are already set as being permanently available, however many, we should refrain from converting any further AOTDs into being permanently available. We need to think globally, outwith Flight's currently existing Hawaii & Alaska environment. Given Steve is reporting that - the system is currently restricted to 500 permanent aerocaches, and he's working to enable scenery Globally, then I think we should delay any consideration / action for converting existing AOTDs into permanently available aerocaches. i.e. We should retain ALL remaining available permanent aerocache slots, for potentially genuinely worthwhile & globally significant locations throughout the remaining non-Hawaii / non-Alaska world. I'm sure you are each capable of coming up with 500 genuinely valid worthwhile locations worldwide. e.g. Everest Summit, The Pyramids, Egypt, Ayers Rock, Easter Island, Galapagos Islands, Rushmore Monument, Stonehenge, Great Wall of China Taj Mahal,, etc, etc, etc. We should also disable from being permanent, those MS duplicates of 4 permanent MS aerocaches. October 19, 201411 yr I'm not familiar with the storage of aerocaches, but it does seem it would be handy to swap in and out sets of regional aerocaches. The swapping could eliminate the need for reserving only 500. Just an idea... ( We're already tied to the toolkit, so swapping via the toolkit isn't too extreme.) DIck
October 19, 201411 yr If you're online, Aerocaches are only loaded from the Microsoft Flight server (which Steve's toolkit emulates). Flight only loads Aerocaches from Core\Aerocaches\Core_Aerocaches.spb if the user is offline. Swapping regional Aerocaches would require Steve to swap the set of Aerocaches on the server.
