April 4, 201511 yr Author Well, it's not fun aligning this one! But progress is steady. Need to fix up the first swoop so that it's higher, which means adjusting position and rotating across 3-4 panels. Shuai Li
April 13, 201511 yr Thought I'd check in and see how the repaint is going, autogyro. Been about 9 days since your last update. Gotta stay on top of these things now that the cat is out of the bag.... --WH
April 14, 201511 yr Author Hah. To provide an update, in the meantime, although I haven't shown any pictures, I've decided to tackle the swoops as a collective instead of individually, so progress has gone a tad backwards, but it should mean they line up a bit better to the real thing. So I'll see if this works out better, then release some WIP shots. Shuai Li

April 15, 201511 yr Id like to request one more repaint for your list, Quest Diagnostics. They have a fleet of pc-12s that fly in the east and midwest of America, mostly transporting lab specimens between cities after closing. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/LBQ825 an example flight. cant find a picture of one of their planes though
April 26, 201511 yr Author After some time actually flying the simulator with the PC12, Turbine Duke and Hawker, I've come back to finishing off this repaint - sorry everyone for how long it's taken, real life has been busy also. Tonight or tomorrow I'll be posting some progress on the revised shapes! Shuai Li
April 26, 201511 yr Author Ok so, as promised, a new shot of the revised decals for the PC12. You can also see how I go about painting and aligning the panels. The first step is to get the rough shape of the decal swoop lines correct and in the correct position. I'm finally happy with the locations of these. Now it's a matter of putting them in their place (a section missing on the cowl as well as at the rear fuselage), then it's to correct the splines so they're smoother. Although the previous design looks more polished, this should be a lot more accurate until I can get the thickness/curves correct. As you can see it's tough work: Shuai Li
April 28, 201511 yr Author I would quit before I start if I had to do that! It's just a grid I overlay to check alignments but you can see how the angle of the panels are rotated, and misaligned. Shuai Li
April 28, 201511 yr Looks very nice. With the grid, one can really see how much work it is to do a repaint where lines stretch from front to rear of the aircraft. I guess most people have accepted that Carenado can't do systems, but why the hell can't they even provide a decent paint kit for their aircraft??? But thanks again for your efforts! April 30, 201511 yr Author I wish there was an easy way to do it... Carenado must have some sort of system because they can make paints reasonably easily. Anyway, here's progress on the long slog. It's coming together and I'm getting excited for it! Shuai Li
