That's what I'm currently using on my 3960X @ 4.6Ghz ... my system has been very very stable.

Swiftech H220X or H240X would be the way to go if you want to stay with a liquid all-in-one solution

I was looking at Swiftech, used their components before and they proved to be very good quality.

How's the build going Rob ? :-)

How's the build going Rob ?

Just waiting for the final pieces EK-H30-240-HFX kit to arrive (confirmed to fit in a HAF X case) ... I had inquired about the Swiftech kit but got no response so I went with another vendor that I've used before http://www.Performance-pcs.com

Should have everything I need by this weekend, 3-day weekend so I'll have time to get it built, OS installed, P3D installed.

Downloaded the lastest EFI for the Asus Rampage V and loaded on USB 3 stick, also have bootable Win7 Ultimate on USB 3 stick.

I'll post pics this weekend.

Cheers, Rob.

Nice ! I've got my build pretty figured out. The only hesitation is going with the 5930K or the 5960X. Right now leaning torwards the 5930K. For applications like P3D (assuming I'm not running tons of other apps in parallel) might be a good choice no ?

Cheers,

I think the 5930K is a good choice, but I've never tested/used one, about all I will be able to compare is my 3960X vs. 5960X.

Just a quick update, everything has arrived, building has started:

Your one Cool Cat Rob....Sorry that was terrible.

Good luck with the build

Very cool ! Good luck with the build Rob. I'm ordering my system parts most probably tonight. I'll ask my Jack Russell to help me on the build. We can then figure out which is better : cat or dog in assembling high end PCs :-)

Can you overclock the cat?

Haha, if they (we have two) could be underclocked I would.

Cheers, Rob.

Cats overclock themselves frequently, usually around 0300 hours.

I'd breath a sigh of releif, he looks chilled. Cats rule, accept it or suffer their wrath.
