February 13, 201511 yr Hi, with the release of p3d 2.5, can somebody please advise if FS Global 2010 FTX is compatible or not? It works fine with 2.4, but am uncertain if I should install 2.5 now or wait. I know ORBX is working on their addons...but who knows how long that might still take. Thank you, Rene
February 13, 201511 yr Hi...also holding off installing V2.5 until all addons which I currently have installed into V2.4 are confirmed to be compatible....FS Global Ultimate Europe/Africa is one of them... February 15, 201511 yr Had FSglobal installed in a folder outside of P3D and that pays off. I just selected all the FSG folders in P3D2.5. as I would any scenery and now I have proper Mesh in 2.5. When you want to do a fresh install of FSG you could make a folder and point the installer to that folder. Afterwards from P3D you'll select the files of that folder. And o yeah, having to restart the sim after installing scenery is back :-( Don't forget to lower the mesh files. any thing that moves, moves me
February 19, 201511 yr Im trying it now to Install on 2.5, the biggest effect on 3rd party scenery software is the relocation of the Terrian.cfg in ver 2.5. Before the Terrian.cfg was in the P3d root folder. Now it is located in C:\programData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\. My theory is I uninstall 2.4, Do a fresh clean install of 2.5 and then install FSGlobal 2010, first.... However before i install FSG2010 I am going to copy the terrian.cfg from its new location back to Prepar3d root folder. Complete the install and when FSG is done i am going to cut and past the terrian.cfg back to its new location and hope for the best. It should work.

February 19, 201511 yr Bonjour, For the standard version there is an new installer for 2.5 on the pilot's site. Now for the FTX version, the one recommended by ORBX, it is another story. It is always difficult to have information as it is not a ORBX product, and not really a pilot's one. This product seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Regards Claude Claude Troncy
February 19, 201511 yr Yes, it works I was able to use the original installer, and now the installer got updated. You still use the original installer, it prompts an option to update it and viola it works. February 24, 201511 yr Symbolic links is the solution to many of the add on problems when files move around. One can create symbolic links using mklink.exe In this example terrain.cfg moved from p3d installation dir to c:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg Ex: Prepar3d location = D:\Prepar3D v2 Open cmd prompt with admin rights Type: mklink "d:\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg" "c:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg" symbolic link created for d:\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg <<===>> c:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg Any program that has the need ot modify d:\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg will be able to, however the actual file modified will be the correct file c:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\terrain.cfg. this can be done for any file or directory symbolic links for directories are created by using mklink /D
