Upcoming ORBX TreesHD will also boost performance

Featured Replies

It'll change all default trees but you need to have ftx global at least.

I'm a little confused.  Is this a program that replaces default P3d trees and in so doing increases P3d performance, or is it an optimized upgrade for the tress in FTX global and/or other ORBX sceneries?

Erm, but if you have global then its not default is it? :P So its an optimised set of their current autogen...

That's kind of what I thought after minimal research.  Thanks guys!

This product is not dependant on you having *any* Orbx products installed. It upgrades FSX/P3D1/P3D2/FSX:SE default tree textures as well as FTX Global and FTX region tree textures. You get about a 10-15% FPS improvement and slightly less VAS usage.

It's our first product which also works for default non-Orbx installations.

OOH!  Thats what I was hoping for originally.  I'm going to look into it.  More info on ORBX site I imagine?

Just to be sure I understand.  This improves performance of FSX and P3d over the default trees or just over the previous version of Trees HD?

Thanks for dropping over and setting this straight and thanks for the veggies.

Upgrades all trees; default or otherwise. Noticeable improvement in FPS. Small improvement in VAS. Not bad eh? I hear it will be about 22 Canadian dollars. Bargain.

Wait, if we have FTX Global or any Orbx region, do we have to pay? Haven't seen any price for it yet...

EDIT: Just saw it. 20 bucks or so. Why is our hobby so expensive...

$20 is a small price to pay for even a small performance improvement.

Exactly...better trees, better performance. There's not a lot of real software (not apps), that costs less than $20.

FYI, the price will be AU$22.95 (USD 17.50, GBP 11.94, Euro 16.50)

Stated by John V - not $20.00 US dollars
