April 3, 201511 yr Craig, I think he's meaning that the couple of people from this forum that have 'saved' this plane in the form of community provided fixes, should get something from Carenado for their efforts. At least that's how I read it. And indeed, Carenado should be grateful for their collective efforts. Exactly Craig, Jimmy touched the topic, it was mentioned exactly how he understands it:-)) English is not my mother tongue, so other people would probably say it differently.Without all those great enthusiasts, Carenado´s C550 would be already another forgotten project making community just angry.I simply do not understand why the Carenado cannot contact those people and with their permission cannot implement all their patches and changes to the official product.Sure, they should reward them somehow then. However, their approach (Carenado´s) is making lot of people crazy.
April 3, 201511 yr Other Bizjets - still nothing better than the Flight 1 Cessna 510 Mustang, IMHO. <sigh> The ONLY plane I would buy again if it became available for P3D. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
April 3, 201511 yr I used to be a day-one purchaser of their products With X-Plane i was the same. Then i got P3D and that changed, i'm not going to start ######ing but if you pay 35/40 Euro for a product, you would expect that it would work and if it doesn't well then you mail them and hopefully get a reply...................................... No reply = Angry poppet
April 3, 201511 yr I know one thing, if I worked for Carenado, I would feel embarrassed at the amount of bug, panel and FDE work that the community does post-release, and take the necessary steps to fix it. If they don't it's a shame. Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato
April 3, 201511 yr For those interested in a bizjet, the ESDG Cessna X is a very, very nice aircraft. Stable as a rock, nice to look at. I installed the NT750 and use it like a tablet en route to find key waypoints and the airport charts. It's very very good... except it looks like FS2002 era... ES is working on a C560 but who knows when it will be done. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
April 3, 201511 yr If the community keeps on rushing to buy everything they release then why would they want to change/improve. Carenado customers only reinforce to the Carenado Devs that what they release is acceptable.

April 3, 201511 yr She is fine for me.. little slow at 270knots but i fly at 25,000 feet VFR. Works fine!
April 3, 201511 yr little slow at 270knots but i fly at 25,000 feet VFR. Well, if you feel that flying VFR at 25,000 ft is realistic then you are the ideal customer for a Carenado product.
April 3, 201511 yr Well, if you feel that flying VFR at 25,000 ft is realistic then you are the ideal customer for a Carenado product. Ha, Thats ment to say. Little on slow side at 270knots. I fly at 25,000Feet IFR Just fine.
April 4, 201511 yr Ha, Thats ment to say. Little on slow side at 270knots. I fly at 25,000Feet IFR Just fine. Have you installed all of the mods available. 270knots seems a bit slow, I get 350kts GS (220 indicated) at 25000-28000 feet, sometimes 420kts with a tail wind. Anything above 30,000 feet and the speed drops off quite a bit. 270 knots is less than the Majestic Q400 at cruise which is about 320-340 knots
April 4, 201511 yr Commercial Member Well, if you feel that flying VFR at 25,000 ft is realistic then you are the ideal customer for a Carenado product. Flying a simulated aircraft realistically, and wanting an add-on that works as it should are two completely different things. I'm not a real world pilot, and there are days where I cut a *lot* of corners when I fly in the sim. Doesn't mean that I'm any less deserving of a properly functioning aircraft at purchase. Just pointing out that your comment could possibly be taken as offensive... Jim Stewart Milviz Person.

Where are these mods?
April 4, 201511 yr Mods? If I go anyfaster than 270 I get speed warning. Where are these mods? I'm a bit confused...when you say 270 knots is that indicated airspeed IAS or groundspeed GS. If you are getting 270 knots indicated you will get the speed warning and you should be having a groundspeed of over 400 knots without a tailwind, if the turbines don't blow first.. As previously mentioned, I get a groundspeed of 350 knots with an indicated airspeed of 220knots on the airspeed indicator. There are a few tweaks to the aircraft cfg file in these forums that give it a more realistic profile.
April 4, 201511 yr I spent my $50.00 with my eyes open and a couple of other Carenado aircraft in my hangar so I'm not going to complain about what I got or didn't get for my money. With it's "Lite" functionality, the S550 would have been a better value for, say, $19.95 US but so be it. Moving forward, if Carenado would put forth the same effort into their future releases as Janek, Bert and others here have put into making the S550 usable then the money would be well spent. I'm close to "pulling the trigger" on the F1 Mustang, hoping my $50.00 there will yield a more satisfying result. I appreciate those of you who spend so much of your time making these planes better and more enjoyable for the rest of us armchair pilots.
