July 2, 200520 yr According to flight1.com, UT: USA is out!I'd love to get it, but am worried about compatibility with my scenery, mainly fly tampa, simflyers, freeflow series, etc.Anybody purchase it yet?
July 2, 200520 yr Actually you have to go to the UT Canada website, and click on UT USA and it says available now and has a link to the flight1 installer!
July 2, 200520 yr >>Anybody purchase it yet?Yes, no. I beta tested it and have on my computer. Awesome piece of work. I have no clue how anyone would think it could be incompatible with any airport scenery. Please read what UT is and what it is NOT.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
July 2, 200520 yr I have no clue either but I am sure it is incompatible with the free flow series, right?
July 2, 200520 yr >I have no clue either but I am sure it is incompatible with>the free flow series, right?I don't profess that I know everything about this industry, for example I have no clue what free flow series is ;)Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2 Michael J.
July 2, 200520 yr free flow florida and new england, freeware scenery that replaces the coast lines and lots of other goodies, available here in the library and fs-freeflow.comAnyway since UT does coastlines, rivers, etc. I'm sure I will have to use one or the other
July 2, 200520 yr If the airport uses custom landclass to map its own ground textures you may need to place that airport above UTUSA in your scenery list. That's the only thing needed to make any airport scenery compatible.
July 2, 200520 yr Hello all.I dont think you need to worry too much as Scott from FS-Freeflow has said that they will be bringing out a compatability patch soon for Ultimate Terrain USA. IM sure the info about it is posted on their website in the Message forums. Also, are you sure its released as on the website it just says its available soon and nothing is mentioned that its out in the message boards for that product either. I guess it must be coming out soon though, maybe as a Pre 4th July present, so maybe its going to be released over the weekend.CheersCraig
July 2, 200520 yr As a general rule, if scenery was designed to align with default terrain, there is possibly a problem when using a UT-type product. If scenery was designed to match real world as closely as possible, it should look better. If the sceenry supplies terrain of its own, there is the potential for conflict depending on the terrain layers used, and the scenery priority level. Also photo terrain needs to be looked at just like the landclass potential problem. I think, for example, you might have to put megascenery at a higher priority than UT.Most airport scenery do not use much terrain, due to resolution limits of terrain (fuzzy). If anything, airport backgrounds are the most likely.scott s..
July 2, 200520 yr Looking at the Flight1 Web Site, the only version on Ulitimate Terrain that seems available for purchcase is their Candadian/Alaskan version. Would somebody post a direct link to the USA version?Thank youTom
July 2, 200520 yr http://www.scenerysolutions.com/UTUSA.htmlDirect link to their website. Doesn 't look like its out to me. I checked that site and Flight1.
July 2, 200520 yr Link to the flight1 sitehttp://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=utusaLook at the download size. 1.2GB!
July 2, 200520 yr Am I missing something? I see no option to download? It still says "coming soon". The link for the downloader just links back to the main page? ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
