"I have no clue how anyone would think it couldbe incompatible with any airport scenery. Please read what UTis and what it is NOT.While I think UT is an awesome program for what "it is", it might be incompatable the same way UT Alaska is incompatable for many of the non airport sceneries done for that region. Since UT is realistic for it's placement of terrain and MS isn't, then it is kinda like designing for a whole new sim, since many areas don't match up.While I would love to have UT Alaska on all the time, nearly all my sceneries that I use, including my own, are not usable, and considering I no longer have the source files to move them, UT is disabled. Guess it depends which you prefer more, accurate landscapes or scenery when you land and take off.I think UT USA will be enjoyed more by the big iron crowd as they will enjoy it from higher altitudes and most major airport scenery will be unaffected. >So I guess I need to uninstall USA Roads for this package...>:-hmmm You can but you don't have to. If for some reason you prefer USA Roads you can keep them. But I personally see little point in doing it - UT USA comes with their own roads which are absolutely equivalent to USA Roads in accuracy.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

My fault, I read the available now text on ultimate terrains homepage and figured that ment it was released...

>As a general rule, if scenery was designed to align with>default terrain, there is possibly a problem when using a>UT-type product. If scenery was designed to match real world>as closely as possible, it should look better. If the sceenry>supplies terrain of its own, there is the potential for>conflict depending on the terrain layers used, and the scenery>priority level. Also photo terrain needs to be looked at just>like the landclass potential problem. I think, for example,>you might have to put megascenery at a higher priority than>UT.>I would like to know how UT will work together with FSGenesis meshand their American Data? Will it be a sensible mix?

>I would like to know how UT will work together with FSGenesis>mesh>and their American Data? Will it be a sensible mix?Depending what your standards are. I have FSTerrain mesh and everything looks "sensible" to me except of a few problems here and there - you see for example some 'ditches' in the middle of Mississipi river. But I am not looking for perfection - I don't have time while flying to even spot things like that. I far more value good landclass and shorelines than mesh - my own system of priorities.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

Do you hear that noise?? That's the sound of all the dialup users crying :) What is that....about a 5 day download for dialup users? Matt

Downloading just started.... 2 hours left! :-x

An hour and a half left in the download. So much for going to bed tonight! :-) Good thing it is a long weekend for many of us in the US!

The download keeps dieing and restarting. Takes forever. I was down to 15 minutes to go, but now it keeps restarting over and over, and it verifies the entire file every time which takes an eternity.Hope I can get this last 15 minutes in the next hour or two.Jim

$20 for USA Roads users! Be sure to get your coupon prior to purchasing. It's on the same download page.Odaat

Has anyone noted that the Ultimate Terrain Data File and the F1Downloader don't agree: the Downloader version is 1.04 and the DDF file is for a previous version. So I am starting a direct download.Let's hope the product's quality is better than the download procedure.... :-roll JJ StruyfBraine-L'AlleudBelgiumhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
