May 14, 201511 yr Nice! I don't run SLI, but I'm sure there'll be other (minor?) benefits for 970 users. Thanks for the info. Rob's gonna love it! Neil Andrews. Fight or Flight - YouTube | Twitter
May 14, 201511 yr Author Really looking forward to see what SLI will do for performance. We must remember though that P3D still is more CPU than GPU intensive but this sure is great news and very nice to see how we as a community was able to make a company such as Nvidia listen to us!
May 14, 201511 yr Commercial Member Fantastic! Can't wait for this, recently went sli 970s, looks like it was worth it now! Hopefully p3d will be as smooth as my other sims! May 14, 201511 yr Anyone have any idea what to expect for performance change on P3D? I've never run an SLI setup
May 14, 201511 yr Moderator I've been running a glommed together SLI for quite a while and have been very happy with the results. An "official" profile will be extremely welcome. Jumping up and down in anticipation.......... Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 14, 201511 yr been very happy with the results Good to hear Vic You still running locked @ 20? Any new comments on the benefits of SLI in your setup?
May 14, 201511 yr Will be curious to see how it performs with P3D and if it will be worth going out and buying another GTX 970.....Glad to hear that Nvidia and LM are starting to work together
May 14, 201511 yr Author I wonder if SLI will primarily help when running multiple screens or high resolution such as 4K or if will also give a considerable overall boost. I've never used an SLI setup so if I was to go for it would I need to find a second graphics card of the exact same model I have today or are you able to use different models?
May 14, 201511 yr Phew, better late than never. Time to order 2 more Titan X's -- it'll be interesting to see how it scales. Cheers, Rob.
May 14, 201511 yr Can anyone comment on what the benefits are for SLI for P3D? Is it mainly to more consistently maintain given frame rate rather than actually gaining in overall FPS? (conceptually of course as I know the official profile is not out yet)
May 14, 201511 yr Author Phew, better late than never. Time to order 2 more Titan X's -- it'll be interesting to see how it scales. Cheers, Rob. 2 more ?
