P3D v2.5 SLI test results, up 33%

Featured Replies

Hi all, is nvidia surround across 3 monitors working in this sim yet? I have read some posts that say SLI performance is disabled in this scenario. I have dual 760s at 5760x1080 and want to obviously get max performance in surround at this rez. My system also can run 3D surround and I was wondering if this will work in P3D? There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there with regard to my surround setup working in P3D. I would have no reason to try P3D if there is poor surround support as FSX supports it right out of the box without performance penalty. Thanks.

I run dual 580s at 5760x1080 at fixed 26 FPS since V2.2 and I didn't have any issue running SLI/surround...

Cheers,
Michael

On this I also got artifacts and random slow downs on FPS during cruise.

I've gone back to disabling SLI

That's disappointing.

Was that with the latest 355.98 video driver?

It was with 355.82 driver, haven't tried it with 355.98 but going off the change list for .98 I see no evidence of anything that would change that result.

"I know this has been posted before but I'll repeat again.  When testing or just flying, any access to the P3D Menu system (including right click anywhere on screen to bring up a floating menu), can cause SLI issues (sync issue and/or drop to single GPU).  A solution to get both GPU's working again is to Alt + Enter twice.

LM are aware of these issues and they are continuing to work with nVidia to come up with a solution."

Has this issue been fixed or do we still have to avoid clicking the menu and right clicking the window to avoid the sync issue? I'm on P3dv2.5 by the way. Thanks for any help.

You need to up grade to 3.0. SLI works without your symptoms here. Only undocking panels is a no go.

Hi Michael,

I also fly with FSX w/ DX10 fixer and don't have this issue. I was afraid that was the fix.

Thank you
