FF757

Featured Replies

Just wanted some opinions about it..

FF777 IMO just doesn't worth it , as people said it behaves wrong , and visually it's dated..

FF757 visually looks better , although VC texture are wayyyy too dark , however there is a great replacement for those.

So does the FF757 behaves correctly?

And where is it compared a PMDG airliner for example?

Watching videos it looks great system-wise but yet Im asking to get a deeper impression about it.

I only have the 777, so I can't comment on the 757. I never really took to it after flying it a few times. I was used to PMDG's 737 when I switched over to X-Plane and I did find the cockpit a bit dated and the FMC more clunky to use. That's not say it isn't good, it is, and many people love it. Also, I have never bothered installing any updates for it since I bought it, so it may have actually improved.

There are plenty of videos on Youtube for you to judge yourself. The 757 is supposedly nicer, and the videos show this.

What cockpit texture replacements are you referencing? I want them!

I like the FF757 a lot, but there are some bugs. The flaps, for example, don't look great. The system complexity is pretty good and close to PMDG. It's the best addon I have for X-Plane. Flight dynamics are great, the plane looks pretty good, it comes with its own plugin, etc. The sounds aren't amazing, but they're not bad, either. They sound pretty good. It also got a platinum award on PC Pilot and Froogle has three videos of it on this channel if you want to see them. All in all, I would suggest the plane.

Yeah I'm holding off on all texture replacements for the FF757 until the Russian guy releases his textures. Once those are out this airplane will be so much better, and I'll have no hesitation at all recommending the 757 to anyone.

It's a nice flying aircraft, but cannot stand the dark VC textures.  Am also waiting for the Russians VC textures.

Ditto, hope it is not too much longer..

I still think FlyJsim's 737 is the best looking cockpit in XPX.

I love FlyJSim's 737 a lot, but the SAAB 340A Is absolutely stunning as well.

The FF757 might be not as pretty and realistic looking inside its flightdeck, but it's still one of my favourite airplanes to fly in XPX!

The 777 has just (today) been updated to v 1.8.  New cockpit graphics.  Not at home to try it out, but will be soon.

Is it Pumper's VC upgrade or a new one from FF?  Hope they update the 757 with a worn looking VC.

A mix of the two.

Can you please provide a link for that 757 new vc textures thread? Thanks.

Alexander,

It is for the 777 vc and is the latest download for that aircraft on the org.  Nothing for the 757 yet, as far as I know.

Thanks, I misread then.
