  • Could you explain what you mean by "altered"?  Were you attempting to add scenery using SCE, or edit the entry for an existing scenery?    If add, what is the path to the scenery that you want to ad

Is there a way to use Scenery Configurator to point the FSX SE to airports I have installed in FSX. I have FSX boxed and FSX SE installed on the same computer.  i used the Scenery configurator but it kept coming up with a message that the airport I had tried to duplicate in FSX SE that I had installed in FSX could not be found.

I went to group view having selected the FSX SE in Scenery Configurator then add area and put in the path to the scenery installed in FSX but It did not  work in FSX SE.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thank-you

Not recommended, most scenery today installs textures and effects in the main fsx folders. so if you have the other sim activating your scenery it cannot find these files. Better to just reinstall.

This can be done no problem and it was how I had my scenery setup when I had both FSX and FSX-SE installed.  I have since deleted FSX and reinstalled FSX-SE with all scenery in the main folder.

Hi,

Everything is at the link that I gave in the above message.  The menu, which contains a link to the user documentation is on the left side of the text.

SCE is a fairly simple program so the documentation is only a few pages long.

It is important to understand that SCE doesn't install scenery.  It simply allows you to easily create the entry in scenery.cfg, much easier than the FSX/P3D feature does it

Things that you also need to know about scenery, such as how to manually add/delete scenery files/folders and priority are only touched on in the SCE documentation since that's FSXP3D knowledge.

If you're not familiar with either of those then, search the Internet for 'installing scenery in fsx' and 'scenery priority fsx'.

If you're still stuck after than, stop back and I'll put together a quick tutorial for you.
