VoxATC and P3D V3

Featured Replies

I tried PF3 again today and it worked flawlessly on three flights and as I don't use the voice interaction part of Vox, it works for me as well if not better than Vox, and certainly has more options and without the need for the migration tool which I really don't like clogging up my file system with unnecessary bogus files and folders.

I do have P2atc but I have been assigned spurious directions with it in the past, and as I don't use its voice interaction feature I will stick to Vox, but keep trying PF3 and getting used to it as I have my doubts about Vox v7 ever arriving.

Hope I am wrong.

If it does eventually come it will have to be quite innovative and reliable  to compete with the already available ATC add ons out there, which are constantly being developed without this cloak of secrecy that shrouds everything to do with Vox.

I would love to hear from a Beta tester of Vox, there must be someone somewhere testing it all out, apart from the author, surely?

I looked into Pilot2ATC, and just noticed it has the ability to use your own voice. Now, I also have purchased in the pass a few IVONA voices, but wonder if they can be use with Pilot2ATC, like I was using with VoxATC?

Question - How much do 119 IVONA voices cost?

With PF3 you get 119 regional voices. PF3 can be used with voice recognition, is FAA and ICAO compatible and you can fly VFR and IFR in any aircraft. Not just airliners.

There are only 51 Ivona voices in different languages, but only 9 are in English. As for the price, I don't remember, but they are not cheap.

Voxatc is the best ATC addon. I hate that the best atc addon have the worst support, but is like this.

The difference between voxatc and the others is that it can manage the last airac and give you the SID/STAR in real time with the weather. Thats the point for me.

But this not work always, have bugs. Wrong SID/STAR, wrong approach, fatal errors, ecc...

I hope the new v7 will solve all the bugs. my last hope.

I create my flightplans in PF3 always with the latest airac cycle. And always fly the correct SID and STAR.

It must be because I read the airfield plates rather than just accept a generated fpl as a given complete with incorrect SIDs and STARs.

I do not accept a generated fpl with incorrect SID and STAR. I create my fpl with pfpx and they are validated with correct SID/STAR.

You need to set every SID/STAR for every airport you fly. With voxatc you can be always up to date, easy, and fast.
PF3 have many options and ways to set. But in my opinion to much in some cases.

PF3 must run smooth for sure, because all is set by user. Voxatc have many bugs  because all is automatic, and any problem in afcaf files or airac may cause problems in the program.

I hope all will be solved in voxatc 7.

PF3 is indeed a very flexible programme and that is one of its advantages. Once you have set up a particular flightplan little if anything needs to be changed the next time you want to fly that route. So what I do is open the sim, run the weather, open the fpl in the sim, open PF3, select same fpl and go. It's as quick as that.

VoxATC is the only voice control ATC that support and fully controls you and your AI traffic and that is enough to make it the only acceptable solution for me! What is the purpose of ATC if there is no traffic to be separated from or if you are controlled by your ATC addon program and all your AI is controlled from default FSX or P3D, what conflics will take generate I dont dare to imagine :)

PF3 also accepts voice control and AI is physically controlled on the ground by PF3.

Is already compatible with MCE?

I have two sound cards, it is posible to select were the PF3 audio goes? i do not find nothing in the manual.

It is compatible with MCE. As for the PF3 audio check on their forum or on the MCE forum.

Let`s keep this a VOXATC thread, please.

2. FSLabs A3xx, P3Dv5. Gigabyte Aorus 17G YC, I7-10700K, RTX 3080

"PF3 also accepts voice control and AI is physically controlled on the ground by PF3" (good enough if FSX or P3D were "Ground" simulators :)

No way good enough in my humble opinion. AI needs control throughout your flight, ground and air. Everything else is not good enough when there is an alternative that actually does control all stages of flight for you and your AI (VoxATC).

I am not a beta tester, but I can tell you that it is being tested.

I am a big fan of VoxATC, and ideally I would like it to be released yesterday, but I also appreciate that it's better to make sure it's as bug free as possible than release too early.  The likes of PMDG and FSLabs operate like that, we don't beat them up for it and I wouldn't expect any other dev small or large to do differently.

I believe it's close so let's let them do their thing :)  Cheers K

PS when it is released, I would be grateful if any UK pilots would be willing and able to give me some feedback on how my updated UK airspace files work (or don't!)  with it as well..?  Show of hands please? :P

Kevin, I love your airspace update for the UK but perhaps there is a new way of handling airspace in Vox 7. Vox 6 introduced updated SID/STAR possibility with Navigraph but also class airspace would be welcome so that we dont have to rely on the static BGL data that has not been updated since the FSX days. Your UK airpace beeing the exception of course :)
