VoxATC and P3D V3

Featured Replies

Hi there.I've not seen the developer on these forums or had any reply to emails-is there another forum you are talking about?

Jay

OK disregard- you meant Pilot2ATC not Vox

Jay,

The developer for VOX was never active on this forum but used to answer emails. In the last 18 months or so he has been MIA.

Will the developer begin to answer emails after release v7? (if released) Or will be a unsuported product?

And if he start to answer emails, what happend if i ask suport for v6.52?

What's MIA?  Can you get pills for it?

Regards

Frank Jones

MIA- Missing In Action. No pills will cure it. You just have to show up.

More like KIA than MIA. May it rest in pieces :Tounge:

VOXATC v7 beta is available for download.

VOXATC v7 beta is available for download.

My Windows Defender says it contains a Trojan virus - (which may be a false positive of course)

Can I borrow yours? ;-)

Seriously, if you're not experiencing a virus, I'll turn mine off.

I first noticed this while at work. I have had a chance to download it, install it, and give it a whirl. There is a warning on the home page. This is betaware, do not use if you can not tolerate frustration (or words to that effect). Take those seriously. I did get it to install into v3 with no problem. I did get the virus warning mentioned above, turned off windows defender, and no problems after that. I did have repeated Fatal Errors on my first attempt. Also, when opening my flight plan, the controller kept saying a nearby airport that was not my actual destination airport. I got different airports each time I restarted VOXATC. I forgot to enable logging, which is part of the instructions for using the beta, so I have not submitted a report about this yet, but I'm about to try again and see if it is replicable with logging enabled. I did want to let you guys know about this after my initial post, so you know what you're getting. I'm looking at the fact that the beta has been released as a good sign.

Hooray !!!  Anyone try the networked version yet?  That would save a lot of horsepower on my flight sim PC.  Do the panels show on the client computer?  Any words of wisdom on the networked version would be much appreciated !!

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

Took it for a spin.  Seems to be doing 'OKAY' but it has a major bug regarding AI traffic.   The AI packages I have installed are not being indexed properly and as a result when VoxATC spawns in aircraft it is not spawning in the correct aircraft at the correct gates AND not only that the aircraft are not spawning in at the gates themselves.. they are spawning offset by 5-25 feet in random directions.     If I turn off VoxATC and just turn the P3D Traffic sliders up in the in-game menus then AI traffic spawns in correctly at the right gates with the right airlines.    And yes, I did run the VoxATC Indexer.. multiple times.   I get no error messages and no warning messages.   VoxATC boots up, runs it tests and then starts spawning in aircraft... just not the right aircraft.     Last time I checked Southwest Airlines do not fly BBJ 737's nor do they fly Beechcraft or Cessna's.   :)      Turn off VoxATC,  SWA 737's everywhere!

There is supposedly a patch for this for FSX but I don't know if it works for P3D. The patch isn't posted on the web site so I guess it's by request only.
