August 26, 200520 yr Moderator Can anyone elaborate on performance, fluidity and FPS wise?I have the AOPA Commander and have pretty bad performance with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard AOPA member and do appreciate the free gift but the performance is really choppy on my system. Thanks in advance,Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.71.89), CH Yoke/Pedals I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
August 26, 200520 yr I'd like to say 'Congrats' to Eaglesoft for finally releasing this long awaited aircraft to the market. I thought about getting the SR20 but decided to wait for the faster more robust SR22 G2 that will hopefully be released soon. Doesn't make since to get the slower version.I may have to brake down and get two of these Cirrus aircraft in the future if the GTS option is ever developed. Even though there are mostly only cosmetic differences between these two SR22 series aircraft, it's still the top of the line GTS package that's the whole point. :-hahThanks again Ron and Eaglesoft... :-waveP.S. The Liberty XL2 is looking very good, another release I'll surely purchase upon release... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
August 26, 200520 yr Unfortunately it's a bit slow on my old Athlon 2100+. But if you run on a more up to date processor i suppose it performs good. The systems are complicated, but very well done. The VC have only two windows in the .cfg which makes the VC refresh rate good enough for a slow plane like this.A bit odd that a small plane like this is so heavy on the fps, actually the PMDG 744 has better framerates on my system, but the Cirrus systems are VERY interresting, and beautifully rendered (forget about old Eaglesoft blurryness, it's all gone) and if you think your processor can cope with it, go buy!
August 26, 200520 yr Not only that, the Commander is full of bugs that have not even been addressed or in some cases even acknowledged. It's like that team is completely ignoring problems with the Commander.Set it up at Palm Springs and zoom out on the Terrain map.. Slide Show, and almost complete lock-up. What a Joke. :-lol CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
August 26, 200520 yr Beautiful! As for performance, I find it easier on my rig than the DF Bonanza and I always use the full version of both. Haven't really flown it yet, but the modeling is superb, hats off to Tiberiu and Kobie (and the rest of the guys) Once I get some time, I'll post some pics in the SS forum. I am not a Cirrus fan, but I am impressed with this model and hope to get more intimate with her this weekend. If you are interested in this aircraft, check it out, uses the Flight1 wrapper so you can't lose either way.Ron, is that you in the pilots seat?Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
August 26, 200520 yr I think you guys better go back and grab FSD's package if you want a Commander with no problems... :-roll FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
August 26, 200520 yr Dillon, could be a fairly long wait on the SR22 G2...no time frame on it's development and testing yet:-)

August 26, 200520 yr >I think you guys better go back and grab FSD's package if you>want a Commander with no problems... :-rollGood Point,I own the FSD Commander, and still fly it. It is one fine aircraft. And the graphics are top notch for when it came out, the developer has offered updates, and plenty of repaints too. Thank You FSD. :-)As for the Glass commander, it's pretty good. The glass is nice, but ignoring the consumers like they have is not what I would call Customer Service. The Install says go to the AOPA site Forums to ask questions. All one has to do is go there to see the silence as to the problems with this release. Pretty Sad.Sonar5 CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
August 26, 200520 yr Hi Pete.OK, after flying the SR20 for a litle bit this afternoon, I was getting a few small micro-pauses. I don't get this in my other aircraft at all.I do normally run FS9 with my soundcard hardware acceleration set at FULL without any troubles. However, I went ahead and turned it down to BASIC and the micro-pauses went away.My average FPS when using the SR20 is around 25 fps. The sim is very smooth now after making the adjustment to my sound card's hardware acceleration. This is a great little airplane from Eaglesoft in my opinion. I am not normally a big fan of the newer CRT avionics, but in this case, it is fun learning how to use them. The only thing I noticed is when you deploy the parachute after an entire enigne failure, the plane can enter a spining motion before stabalizing (sometimes inverted). I don't know if Active Camera has something to do with this or not. Never using one of these systems in real life, I don't know if this is normal behavior or not. But the recovery parachute is really a cool thing!Listed below are my system specs for your reference to the SR20's performance.Happy Simming!Scott :-beerchugATP/CFII/DA20 Type Rated - Instructor Pilot - USAFA (KAFF), Colorado Springs, CO & at KCOSAOPA #00956593, since 1987Background in Corporate, Airline, and General AviationB.S. August 26, 200520 yr Looks great Ron!I have been waiting for this to arrive. Now I just have to get the boss on board. ;) In the mean time, for those that are flying it, would you mind sharing some shots in the screenie forum? Again, thanks for the wonderful aircraft Ron, companies like yours have brought so many hours of good clean and safe fun to all of us. Be Safe,Scott
August 26, 200520 yr Thanks for the tip Scott! Almost forgot the sound acceleration tip:-)Glad she's flying well for you. Yes under certain conditions a deployment results in a wild ride...other conditions it's fine:-)
