November 6, 201510 yr Author According to that article is just a bit of increase and not worth it. How about real experience in prepar 3D? Anyone?
November 6, 201510 yr Most people report no fps increase in P3D worth talking about, but......you can run higher AA setting with a 980/980Ti. So you need to ask is that worth it? also helps with 4K David Murden. November 6, 201510 yr I would rather get a second 780, and run it in SLi Was looking into swapping my 980 for 980ti, but landed on 2x980 in SLi. Works a charm, but P3D (unlimited) with SGSS is still able to melt both of them in heavy clouds.. Best regards,Kristoffer Løkke-Sørensen
November 6, 201510 yr 1. The increase in FPS in "normal conditions" with no clouds is minimal 2. Meanwhile with SGSAAx4 set via NVI I'm able to have a perfect AA with no FPS loss as it used to be with 780 3. The main benefit point - ability to fly through unlimited layers of overcast with almost zero loss in FPS. With 780 I was getting 10-12 FPS in 10-layers overcast, now it 23-25. Bottom line - I upgraded and I'm totally happy. Think about the weather conditions that EGLL recently has had and you'll understand why I'm happy 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.

November 6, 201510 yr Went from 780ti/2700k at 4k to 980ti/6700k and fps went up by around 35%-40% at the same settings. Unfortunately I cant say whether it was the processor or graphics made the most difference. If you are not running 4k then you probably wont see that level of improvement. Regards Howard H D Isaacs

I have 2 x GTX970 and 75% of the time right now is tubes =1X970 on job and the rest 25% is VFR with SLI But Project Cars maxed out and 95% used on both is SO cool  Michael Moe Michael Moe
November 6, 201510 yr Author Im surprised there is not a big improvement since the 980 Ti has twice as much video memory . GPU: GeForce GTX 780 Core Clock: 863 MHz Base / 900 MHz Boost Core Processors: 2304 Stream Processors Memory: 3GB GDDR5 Memory Interface: 384-bit Memory Clock: 6008 MHz Chipset: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Core Clock: 1102 MHz Video Memory: 6GB GDDR5 Memory Clock: 7010 MHz Memory Interface: 384-bit So what video card would be a noticeable improvement over the GTX 780
November 6, 201510 yr i had a 780 and now a 980Ti in fsx a little gain in preformance, in other games a huge gain. but i would rather here from people going from a i7 3770k to a 6700k, what is your experiance?
November 6, 201510 yr Sort of like Fsx and v1.4 - FPS is more closely tied to Processor Speed - Nothing like a set of Heads - pipes - and a Full Race cam to stir things Up - SORRY "OLD GUY" Speaking -
November 6, 201510 yr I think it should be much better when using Nvidia Surround with three or more monitors on one card. I'm just about to switch from a 780 to a 980 ti because I want to go for three monitors and performance was not too good with the 780 @ 5760x1080 Will come back to report  Marc Weber
