January 8, 201610 yr Author Rich, Rob, Jim, LM, everyone here: I spend so much time at AVSIM it amazes me: reading, laughing, learning, being 'entertained'. A great big thanks to the entire community and I hope 2016 brings lots of goodness to all. Oh what fun it is! Greg Likewise to you, Greg. Not sure what I'd do without avsim, the numerous times I've had issue with my sims I've always found helpful people here and a great amount of knowledge. Avsim is a major part of what keeps this community going and I'm very thankful for that and the great staff we have. Thanks guys Totally agree Guys - Hi Rick hope all is well - thought I would start this thread as I am privileged to know how much work Rob does in the background that a lot of folks have no idea about and can be very frustrating at times for Him - yet He soldiers on using immense amounts of His personal time for Our benefit - hence this thread to open some eyes and my own thats for sure and thanks to all for listening and comments  Rich Sennett
January 8, 201610 yr Yes, having been a proud member of AVSIM for more years than I am prepared to admit, I agree 100% with everything that has been said. Apart from a few hiccups along the way - FSX married to underpowered hardware nearly destroying my passion for flight simulation - this great site, the participating active membership and Prepar3d in particular has managed to rekindle my flagging enthusiasm. A huge thanks to everyone and especially to those few notables who have always responded to our requests for help and guidance with unfailing respect, wisdom and encouragement. Mike

January 8, 201610 yr Yes thanks to Rob I've spent almost $3000 in a span of 3 weeks to achieve what he shows is achievable in his videos. I'm so close, only 5-7 days until the new monitor arrives. No really, thanks to all the tech people (Rob, Steve, etc) that DO know what they are talking about and share their knowledge with us. Sean Green
January 8, 201610 yr What a great thread, Rich.I love these 'positive' threads.I agree with all these comments.I also think of Tom every time I visit here - daily. I sincerely hope that his pic will be a permanent feature on the front page. He left a fantastic legacy for us all.The majority of members also help to make Avsim great.I often wonder how you all find the time to fly, moderate, and help. My copilot tells me that I spend far too much time in my 'cockpit'. I disagree.
