January 25, 201610 yr TDS did it again: the 727-100 was released today, you may find it at the other site: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=search&fname=tds_727-100fs*.zip Enjoy! January 25, 201610 yr Luis, thank you for the HU! Does this offering have a VC? Sascha Rieger | EVO Developer What is EVO • How to get Evo 2016 • FS9 Evolution Forum
January 25, 201610 yr Commercial Member Downloaded FSX version and its sound.cfg is linking /737-400 folder which is probably from FS9? So for FSX it doesn't have a sound... Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
January 25, 201610 yr Downloaded FSX version and its sound.cfg is linking /737-400 folder which is probably from FS9? So for FSX it doesn't have a sound... As this is the FS2004 forum .... no sound in FSX is of no concern. Just say'n.
January 25, 201610 yr Thanks Luis Miguel for the HU. The model I waited for eagerly!By the way, as far as I understand, the model has no VC. The VC section contains some entries for TDS's special functions. But I don't insist in a VC. I hope that there's a 2D panel somewhere out there that is at least nearly comparable with that of the old Dreamfleet 727. Downloaded FSX version and its sound.cfg is linking /737-400 folder which is probably from FS9? So for FSX it doesn't have a sound... Isn't it possible in FSX to edit the entry so that it points towards a valid aircraft's sound directory? Or just download a freeware 727 sound from the library and test... O.K. now lets discuss panels. After a quick search, there are only few options. (Not speaking of one Avsim member's custom panels  ) - A merge with DFs panel will probably not work due its complexity (or has anybody tried?) - HJG's panel is to "light" for my taste - I bought the CS 727 for $9.99 and did a quick merge of its panel with the TDS model. With the non-VC version, it seems to work so far, even the crew's announcements... Later I will have to test if the CIVA INS works with it. Any other options? January 26, 201610 yr Author You're welcome, Harald. Guess I wasn't the only one who was waiting for the 727-100. Now waiting for the paintkit... Regarding panel, I don't have the DF 727, or I would have it merged already and published it. If you see the process as daunting, divide it into 3: 1. Make TDS use your DF panel. You were able to do so with CS panel, you will be able to do that with DF. 2. Enable TDS animations with your DF panel. For that, add the TDS utility panel to the DF panel, and the TDS animations to the VC sections of the DF panel.cfg file. If you were able to add a CIVA INS to a panel, you can do this. 3. Make your TDS 727 fly like the DF 727. This is how I did for the HJG panel with the 722 (for the 721, I was lazy and didn't do step 3), and for the iFly panel with the 73G. January 26, 201610 yr Moderator There are quite a few 'analog' 3 hole Panels over at the 'other' FS Sites that would work as well. However, judging by the complexity of the Panels you guys are looking for, I don't know if these would work. I did use one of these with the TDS -200, and it worked pretty well. I did not add a 'true' FMS to the Panel, though... just the EasyFMC. Alan
January 26, 201610 yr Luis Miguel, thanks for your help. I did exactly so with the CS panel. Why I expect to have problems with DF's panel is the fact that I - as well as some other members - experienced problems (FS2004 freezing in certain situations) with the DF 727 since having Win7 as OS. According to some tests, these were panel-/gauge-related (obviously, some gauges needed an ancient version of the Internet Explorer), so that auf merge would port over the problems. Replacing single gauges failed as far as I remember due to the complex DF panel functions. But from the panels I've seen so far the CS's seems to be the best alternative out of the available ones. If the CIVA-INS works with The TDS model? I'm quite sure; but Ed surely knows exactly... Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
January 26, 201610 yr Just don't see the "excitement" since the -200 was already available. What's "100" among friends?
January 26, 201610 yr I needed a private plane, the -200 is simply too big. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
January 27, 201610 yr After first flights: Am I the only one who finds the plane quite nervous at the controls? Can't get the flap vortices from the DF model to work... Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
February 26, 201610 yr Hi, while we still wait for some more repaints, I tried to insert flap vortices. I had no luck so far with the old vortices I made (with a forum mate's help) for the DF model. Probably the TDS model has very different "coordinates". If anybody has made flap vortices successfully for this model, I kindly ask him/her to tell us his/her coordinates for the entries in the aircraft.cfg (in my case, I used the [lights] section) and the effect itself. Many thanks in advance! Regards, Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
