I updated the driver to the latest, I returned NI to the default but same thing. The panel bug not sure what your referring to.

Have you tried the 361.43 drivers yet? it fixed what little problems I had, and others have referenced them.

  • By setting the 35 limit for P3D possibly means that it looks better because there's simply less time between frames, and possibly points to an unstable fps underlying the sim compared to FSX. But if y

  • Yeah Rich, a lot of new goodies around. When it's getting close to my PC replacement time, I'm going to have a good look at panels other than boring 1920x1200 corporate class stuff. You got your new r

  • Steve - 24/24 was too laggy to bear BUT your suggestion of 144Hz/NI at 29fps with VS and TB on may just be the winning ticket.  Just tried a flight in heavy cloud coverage and rain here in my home tow

I just tried the 361.43 drivers and surprise to me it works. I'm getting around 30 fps like I should. N1 30fps limit+vsync+TB and slider to unlimited. Any explanation for this? I have always updated the drivers, thinking the newer driver will work better. Where is AM and should I change it to 116 for 8 cores?

Thanks for the tip.

I don't have an 8 core so can't comment on that other than 116 us what I use on my 4 core.

For quite a while new Nvidia drivers have been "game ready", in other words they are to fix problems on certain games (first person shooters, mostly) some to have benefits though, like upping support for newer DX versions.

I usually check of the nVidia drivers forums at guru3D to get info on new driver releases.

I don't think that is etched in stone.  My system was definitely better with 116.  Tried it twice.  I've seen some others with similar results.  This whole AM thing seems like it can be a little quirky even though there are some basic rules to setting it.    Maybe it's caused by how various models of processors react to the AM command.

 is it not 84?

84 is one less core so I guess while it avoids the first core and removes the possibility of conflict with Windows and other background processes that run on the first core, you ultimately have one less core for use by P3D and thus less processing overhead.

I read somewhere for an i5 Quad Core that 14 was the best setting.  My sim seems to be running find on 14.  AM I doing it wrong?
