The paint is a mod of Tim's superb German paint - I think it was a request by someone at the a2a forums - I can't find the link right now so I should be able to just upload it to DB sometime

 

I don't have FHR installed - decided the area is already a bit tough on fps for me (I've got 0S9, BVS, ORS, and 11S is farther out)

So for the paint (N21WB), first download tim's DERTO paint from avsim

Then download this small mod (credit to Tim-HH as well) - it's just the textures - you can either replace the DERTO stuff, or copy the entire texture.DERTO folder and rename it texture.N21WB

Once you've done that (assuming you made a copy of the DERTO texture folder and renamed it), I like to change the ATC stuff in the aircraft.cfg - should look like this

Oh I wouldn't call that an error - devs should put the manufacturer of the real aircraft imo - There's already "ui_createdby" section for the developer.  So I've changed all my addon aircraft entries to reflect this.  Carenado does it wrong too.

HDR is off, but here's what I've got.  The key is to get a sunlit aircraft - otherwise I think P3D renders shade under overcast too dark without HDR.  Other than that I do ultra minor adjustments in PS (like a touch of increased highlights or overall exposure if it's a shaded shot).  I don't touch the color 99.9% of the time.

 

You might have read my "HDR Hater" comments in the RA Legacy thread - it's true I don't like the HDR and how it changes colors/textures.  But I do like the HDR where it pretends to be our eye and changes the outside to darker and inside to lighter.  Unfortunately I hate how P3D does this so I manually do it in PS when I make the screenshots.  Still the adjustments are very minor like I said.

 

I also do not run SFX or Shade or anything like that.
