Hi Manny,

Oh - almost forgot - the most common reason for it not connecting...

You need all (4) of the "simconnect" packages installed from your P3D distribution... It probably only uses one - I just don't know which one it requires - install all (4) as this fixed it for others... I'm not sure if it is the same for FSX as I don't use it...

I'm not in front of my PC at the moment - I believe the simconnect files are all inside your main P3D installation - I think the folder is called "distribution" or something like that - then there are about (6) sub directories... (2) seem intended for other languages - however (4) have install files located in them that others have recommended to be installed... Run all (4)... You may have to dig through the subdirectories to find the install programs but it's not that hard...

That should do it...

Hi Manny,

Hmm - here is what mine looks like all the time when not connected to FS... Do you have P3D running in a plane at some airport other than your homes GPS location ? Then is the Fltplan PC app showing "sending messages" ? Since I selecetd FSX once - mine immediately picks up and switches to FSX mode once the two aforementioned conditions are met... It sounds like something is misconfigured if Dynon is throwing error messages...

Hi Manny,

One more thought - on my Win10 machine - I had to edit the icons for all my P3D related apps - P3D, ASN, REX, TrackIR, RC4, Fltplan - to "Run As Administrator"... You set this by right clicking on the program or shortcut - should prompt you every time you try an launch the for permission to run...

Just a pix of it in action:

Want to think Paul for starting this thead. I think it is my ATF thread:) Just also tried FlightGo and it is...just...awesome. I have been trying to find a user frindly charts/procedures program for Android and here it is. Between finding FlightGo and FS-FlightControl this has been a great day! Greg

I have only used the 'Approach Training' part so far and and if it only had that it would would still be worth the price

For those who are interested in only the 'Approach Training' part, look for the free software 'Lord of the Landing v1.7' at http://planeman-fs.blogspot.de/2012/05/lord-of-landing-v17.html

Works also in P3D, and there is also a 'Takeoff Trainer' from the same site,

Regards,

Chris

Hi Manny,

I'm at a bit of a loss... What I would do now - as you mentioned playing with the settings in the app on your tablet while trying to make this work - delete the app completely from your tablet - then install it again... It seems that you have the PC part setup correctly now - so maybe it will work as it should... Launch P3D and start a flight somewhere - start the Fltplan PC program (make sure it says sending messages) - then start Fltplan GO for the very first time on your tablet and see if you can connect... LOL - it does work - really...

Hi Folks,

Just in case everyone doesn't know what I meant by geo-referenced approach plates and taxi diagrams - here are examples... It references the actual positions on the plates - so own ship position can be graphically represented on each and every plate... This service usually costs $75.00 to $100.00 dollars a year more over base EFB subscriptions... Fltplan GO is the only service I know of that offers them for free... This feature is a true game changer for IFR flights... Note the "red" own ships position...

Didn't even know that my ac position would show on the approach plates and the ap diagram.  Even more awesome, thanks Scott.

Hi Gnacino,

Again - happy to help - in case anyone didn't notice - LOL - I'm pretty enthusiastic about this product and enjoy using it very much...

I also use ForeFlight and while it can be pricey for the full monty (it's a yearly subscription), it's simply a fantastic product for charts, moving map, flight planning, wx, etc.  It is a VERY professional, RW package, and generally considered the gold standard for RW use.  I connect it to FSX with a freeware program called FlightSimGPS which works flawlessly.

However...  ForeFLight is only available on the iPad, and I believe the OP is on an Android tablet.

Scott

Just downloaded this and installed. Very slick.

Also installed FlightSim GPS and it says it's connected on my iPad, but nothing appears on my iPad (no aircraft tracking the flight plan).

What's the trick? I am using the trial version, don't know if this makes a difference or not. Also using P3D V3
