August 28, 20169 yr Not sure, to be honest. I've never used a yoke with the airbuses. I would say if you have issues with the airbuses and your yoke, then probably yes. - Daniel Thanks not having issues just wondering if it would make things better  Rich Sennett
September 3, 20169 yr Guys has anyone tried this thats using a yoke - original poster is MIA - thanks Rich Sennett
September 3, 20169 yr Guys has anyone tried this thats using a yoke - original poster is MIA - thanks Why shouldn't it work? The software doesn't care where the input comes from, whether it's a yoke or a joystick. It just feels completely unnatural to fly a bus with a yoke. The fly-by-wire of the bus is built such that it gets short inputs which tells the system how the pilot wants to change the attitude of the plane. This is different to a plane with a yoke where you control the control surfaces of the airplane and, for example, hold them in a turn. But of course you can also fly the bus with a yoke. Just feels strange. [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE

September 5, 20169 yr Thanks Vic, great work! I am glad to notice that one of the reasons why I didn't like driving the bus was only due to the programming of the FBW by Aerosoft. I use the low-end version and an old Logitech Attack 3. There are only a few ambidextrous sticks. I choose to order a Thrustmaster T16000M. Gonna look forward to that. Regards, Perry
September 5, 20169 yr This mod makes the as bus fun again. Absolutely! No need to ban it to the hangar Regards, Perry
September 8, 20169 yr Is there a way to install new versions without losing all your liveries? It's a pain having to add them back in each and every time, especially when you have a lot. Just make a copy of your aircraft.cfg file somewhere then copy it back in after - then you should be fine - update removes the entry's from what I've seen - actual texture folders stay in tact Rich Sennett
September 8, 20169 yr Oh, so the only thing that this FIX removes are the livery entries from the aircraft.cfg and nothing more? I also have FSFXPackages entries in my aircraft.cfg file, does the FBW fix remove those entries as well? I also have FSFXPackages entries in my aircraft.cfg file, does the FBW fix remove those entries as well? Yes, it does. Best way to approach this is: 1. Uninstall your FSFX Packages 2. Backup your livery entries in aircraft.cfg (only the entry lines) 3. Install the FIX 4. Copy-Paste the livery entries back 5. Install FSFX Packages Best Regards, Vic
December 29, 20169 yr Hello, thanks for taking your time out to make this incredible change/fix to the aerosoft airbus. I've got a slight problem with my controls, it seems like when I move my joystick (Saitek x52 pro, used the high-end edition of your pack) hard to either left or right on the roll axis, it fliks between right and left really quick inside the sim itself. Do you have a fix for this?
December 29, 20169 yr interested in such a fix as well since the AS a320 seems less responsive to small control movements, however could not see a noticeable difference to this on applying the fix. I looked in what has been changed to tweak further to my preference but found only aileron related parameter is modified in the fbw system. There are changes to MOI and geometry in the cfg but the aileron area has been roughly doubled to what appears to be unrealistic large value close to that of the elevator/rudder area. Have not looked into changes in the air file, but not sure if it carries fbw information as well.
