October 12, 20169 yr Hi All, Does anyone know or have an idea when P3D v4 is likely to be out, as I am ready to purchase V3.4 but if V4 is imminent I will wait as long as it is not too long. The reason I am asking this is in the past I did purchase V2.5 and not long afterwards it went to V3 and I would have to pay the full purchase price again. I realise you may not have this info for sure but if you think it could be a while before the next version I will go ahead and get V3.4. Thanks for any info/advice in advance. John Coles.
October 12, 20169 yr V4 is not imminent... I don;t believe so.. You'd be btter off getting the V3.4 Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

October 12, 20169 yr The problem is that no body knows when the V4 will be released. So wait for v4 could be 4 months, 1 year, etc... , and wait addons to work with this version (assuming that it will be 64bits) you will have to wait more time to have a perfect v4 working. So I thnik the best you can do is purchase V3. Its a good stable sim, and with tools like PTA looks amazing. Senén Castillo.
October 12, 20169 yr Never change a running system as the saying goes so I'll stay with FSX for now. Hoping for V4 to be an x64 application and then we shall see...
October 12, 20169 yr Author Thanks Guys for your info, looks like I will be getting v3.4. Thanks Again, John.
October 12, 20169 yr Well, actually I was lucky enough to wait with FS2004 from 2003 through 2014, when I switched to P3D skipping this nightmare called FSX completely :-) 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
October 12, 20169 yr Never change a running system as the saying goes so I'll stay with FSX for now. Hoping for V4 to be an x64 application and then we shall see... I ran FSX then FSX:SE for years, compared to P3d, FSX is doggy doo doo.
October 12, 20169 yr Once you try P3D, you will never go back to FSX. Sure thing!. One thing to note however is that if someone is not actually using P3D, waiting for v4.0 - in case it is a 64bit application - could be a good idea to help saving some money in add-ons. October 12, 20169 yr That 64 bit P3D may or may be in development, or may never come. That's essentially true, but I've heard LM is alfa/beta testing it already, maybe rumor?, who knows?. October 12, 20169 yr That's essentially true, but I've heard LM is alfa/beta testing it already, maybe rumor?, who knows?. Cheers, Ed I will wait before jumping over to a 64 bit P3D till : - AS / REX are compatible - there are at least 10 European major addon airports released - there will be a good addon mesh product - there will be a good AI traffic product - the load of the main thread will be spread over 2 cores - Prosim will be compatible And then I need the money to purchase it ... 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
