I exited and restarted XP11 and this time the weather downloaded ok.  Weather-cocking was unchanged.

Nice, what is the fps ? are you losing fps later ?

About 40-50fps, it's quite beautiful to fly over when you can identify the objects (Like a school, a shop, a lake you've swam in).

When did schools show up in Xplane ?  So your new laptop is worth it !

I have some very detailed data, down to individual trees. It works well in both the old and new laptop because I don't generate roads and cars, they are an absolute killer.

I see , i thought it was the default XP11 stuff. Some more shots of your work would be appreciated for that region.

Try KONP to KHQM folliowing the airway, it's a very nice route along the PNW coast (with or without orthos)

KONP looks like a nice area with the default mesh in XP10. flying there right now.

 

 

Before B5, I have never had B5/B6, too much thrust, under a fully idled throttle(s). There still seems to be too much thrust/power at minimal throttle settings....bummer!

 

According to Ben, whom I asked in the blog, the 40% performance bug is not even known.

Heh, that's the problem with talking about bugs on a forum, everyone assumes that everyone is suffering from them, discusses them to death, and everyone assumes that someone else has reported it...

Well, they changed something in pb6 related to that issue, because the Carenado PC-12 wouldn't hold on the "B" brakes in pb5 at engine idle and it now holds (barely) in pb6. Something reduced propeller thrust, although it still might be a little strong. 

 

If they don't know about it, then someone isn't reading bug reports. I know I filed one about the increased thrust in prop planes and helicopters during pb5, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know the helicopter guys in the .org were on it, among others.

For all who have trouble with the mouse look inside the cockpit, try to disable/remove "headshake" plugin seems to fix the issue.
