January 14, 20179 yr Can anyone confirm that the landing lights switch does NOT work in the default C172? This is just a double-check, as I did submit a bug report about it. I've flown a couple of times now with this aircraft and both times, at different times during the flight, the switch won't budge, either with the scroll wheel on the mouse or actually clicking on it. January 14, 20179 yr Yes that post but the ugly orange lighting should not be there at all thats what vc light switches are for - shouldnt be there at all high end (cough) payware do not have that ugly back lighting - shame because he default 737 is awesome but not that back drop lighting ruins it - what I want to know is how to turn it off completely Try also using my modified skycolors available here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/492132-x-plane-10-clouds-datarefs-questions/?p=3548591 Together with those two modified datarefs, you should get better results. Confirmed. I read other people having the same issue too. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
January 14, 20179 yr Wonder if this gets messy using xenviro - thanks From Ben's post in that thread, it sounds like you'll just have to wait for them to fix the plane model so the cabin occludes sky light the way it should. Right now the panel is acting as if the rest of the plane isn't there under dawn/dusk sky conditions. January 14, 20179 yr Wonder if this gets messy using xenviro - thanks Looking good for me with xenviro. Thanks Murmur. Hans
January 14, 20179 yr Had two main issues with PB5 and they both appear to be fixed in PB6: 1) FPS would steadily drop after about 1 hour into flight. Yesterday I flew the CL30 from KSEA to KBOS (4.7 hours) and no drop in fps. Constant 30 fps while steaming. 2) My BK117 helicopter would do 360's on the tarmac once you started an engine. Complete lack of friction between the rails and the ground. I performed several flights yesterday in the BK117 and the problem appears gone. Overall, all my plugins worked (xSquawkbox, IVAO, xEnviro, ChasePlaneDeluxe, GIZMO) and the flying was very smooth. Very happy with this release and believe we're on the cusp on launching out of Beta. I'm hopeful as I want the payware developers to start fixing the nuisance bugs; i.e. gear doors on my Carenado aircraft.
January 14, 20179 yr It looks like that to a certain point. Eventually as it gets darker though, it does what Paraffin describes, which is that the light saturates the entire interior like there are no objects breaking the lighting up. It gives that weird "is a dome light on??" look.

I performed several flights yesterday in the BK117 and the problem appears gone. Yep, that was the increased thrust bug on propellers (or rotors, same thing). At engine idle, a light twin like the BK117 was almost airborne off the skids. The thrust has been reduced in pb6 from where it was in pb5, but I'm hearing in the .org forums that torque required is still lower than it should be when hovering in helicopters, and not enough anti-torque pedal is needed because the tail rotor is still a little too efficient. January 14, 20179 yr Carenado does nothing quick when it comes to after the sale I have several Carenado aircraft and flew the C90 and the B1900 this morning. Both have gear doors that work and everything else works too. I even got rid of the smoke using the Plane Builder (or whatever it is called) software in XP-11. Looks and flies great. January 14, 20179 yr John, could you please give a quick instruction how to remove the smoke? Thanks. Hans
January 14, 20179 yr John, could you please give a quick instruction how to remove the smoke? Thanks. Try Plane Maker>Standard>Engines>SFC/Sound tab. Bottom right exhaust dirtiness, reduce the value or set it to 0.01 which is a low as it will go Rich Sennett
