Bob....Brings back memories.... Just last March my wife and I did a trip of 10,000 miles to Arizona, and New Mexico (among other places).Cheap trip... I bought lots at Sedona, Arizona and Las Cruces, New Mexico. Liked it so much we're moving to the New Mexico location from Florida as soon as we sell our house. My most memorable moment of the whole trip was firing up FS9 on my new Toshiba laptop (3.2 ghz) and USB Yoke, while sitting in a parking lot outside a museum in Pheonix. My wife toured the museum, while I toured Pheonix (from the air). It worked just as well on the laptop, as it does on my desktop. You'll be glad to know, your not the only nut in the world....Oh yes... Always park in the shade ! Bob (Lecanto, Fl)

I am really glad for all of those that have made it through any health problems, nothing is better than that. I recently was told that I have cancer and there was a fairly high chance that I would face the worst but it seems, right now at least, that I will be fine after all. Not a pleasant thing to face. Funny how facing such a thing can change the way one looks at life. Anyway to all of those that have beat an illness I am so happy for you, make the most of it. To those that are healthy I implore you to make the most of it too! Enjoy life, buy the PMDG 747, or any other aircraft you may really want, fly it and enjoy yourself, that is what life is about, being happy. I wish everyone a great holiday season and the best and most prosperous new year ever! Jim, is the CS C-130 in good shape now? I have not been able to follow the progress of getting this plane working well. Are most of the problems solved? I swore that I would not buy this plane given CS's handling of their customers but the call of a decent C-130 is getting stronger than my dislike of their business practices. If it is in good shape I may just purchase it anyway.Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

I'm a bit confused, the aerosim tristar seems to get more than a few votes of confidence, on the other hand I have seen posts referring to it as "default level" addon...anyone cares to shed some more light...http://www.protu-154.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3926//Michael

HelloIt gets a lot of votes because it is the best L1011 released so far.I have it and think it is a great aircraft to fly, it has for want of a better word "character"Also the aircreaft in the link you posted is not the Aerosim tristar it is the DC8 from the same package which is not representative of the quality of the Tristar.

LDS 767.Freeware, not really sure..

1. DreamFleet A36 & Baron 582. Ariane's BBJ3. The biggest surprise goes to PSS's 777 (an outstanding product for them). Avsim really low balled the score on this one...4. PMDG's 747 (after the latest patch)

For hearing that I have cancer of the prostate, but it is localised, not spreading, and is at present being treated by a course of hormone therapy and daily radiotherapy. So despite some inconveniences arising from the deathrays, the prognosis is good, thanks to the 21A team of nasty-zappers at Cheltenham Hospital. As to FSaddons, surprised to see so few votes for the ATR, and is it too late to include Radar Contact?Merry Christmas, everyone, and a wonderful New Year!Don Hunt

I have been blown away by 3 addons this year:- Flight1 ATR- FS2Crew ATR Edition- LevelD 767

Congrats due for 6 weeks time for Lewis in Richmond VA. Its a buzz. My (first) son was born on May 16 this year, marking the high point of the year for me. 6 Days later, I got the latest upgrade of the SF260 - basically a whole new aircraft for 2005 and truly superb. Top freeware for me is a tie between the Bac 1-11 from David Maltby and the Tinmouse 732, both of which are due for a D check given the hours I`ve racked up in them!!CheersJames

Payware:Ultimate Terrain USA & Canada - it has done wonders for GA pilots. BEV textures get a close 2ndFreeware:Nothing really stands out from this year that I use. Not that there probably aren't great addons, I just don't have the time to try a lot of them.

Thanks Moose, I knew there was somebody out there that appreciated it :-)And of course, congratulations on the news of a daughter, but beware. I swear that after about the age of 6, little girls have both a mouth and an attitude that grows way faster then the rest of them!http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

Ha! Paul, there's a lot of us out here that appreciate the FOUR YEARS of work you've put in on the Greatest Airliners: 727. I'm in charge of the 727 program at my VA (Delta Virtual Airlines, http://www.deltava.org) and I'm pretty sure two or three of us over there have talked up your bird so much on our forums, we've gotten Dreamfleet several sales! :) I really don't think this product's gotten its fair due, maybe because it's not older and technologically whiz-bang and automated, but to see something this complex come out of the gate with virtually no bugs is amazing. And, now we're getting a service pack with the four new Super 27 models, tons of paints, and fixes for the few bugs it does have...for free? Outstanding.I've got most of the latest and greatest payware jetliners except the PMDG 747-400, and the GA:727 gives up NOTHING to any of them. It's really neat to take that old-school plane out into the world of FMCs and automated LNAV/VNAV and fly with just some VORs, kneeboard charts, and maybe an add-on INS. I can't wait to get my hands on a Super 27 soon, and really look forward to what you come up with on the DC-8.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia
