UTL offically released

Recommended Posts

Hi...

Will double check start simulation - is this a one time deal or every time you launch P3D ?

LOL - I can't even get signed into the dang blast F1 support forum - F1 ticket opened - ugh...

Regards,
Scott

Hi Folks,

It seems like the planes just periodically flash to gates or out of gates - no movement - default KLAX no mods for this airport...

I guess I need to wait on F1 to grant me access to forum...

Pressed the "Start Sim" button while sim was running - no change...

Regards,
Scott

I had normal AI traffic after switching from the last beta to the release version beginning after a few minutes  after sim start (ORBX Pula to Trieste) yesterday. I didn't need to use the "Start Simulator" button (which I never touched so far). I used SimStarter as always.

Kind regards, Michael

To those who see no movement of traffic, have you clicked on the "Start Simulation" button in UTL live configurator after loading the scenario?

This has no impact on what traffic is displayed in the sim. There is no need to run anything in the GUI before firing up your sim, it's a totally different process that starts when the sim is launched.

Scott,

Do you have FSUIPC limiter active? This can cause the symptoms you are experiencing.

Check that.

Greetings,

To add another reference point for movement I just loaded up a flight at EHAM and went to a high external view to look around and within the first 30 seconds a Delta 767 flight was on the move and about a minute later an Air France Airbus headed out to a different runway.  Shortly after that one or two more were taxiing out as well and I also saw several arrivals within the first 5 minutes or so.

That may not sound like much action for a busy place like EHAM but I have my traffic limit set to 70% in UTL for performance reasons so that will obviously cut down on the number of movements but EHAM still looked very full and active even at that setting.

As a long time MT6 user I have to say that I'm liking UTL so far.  The one thing I will say in defense of MT6 is that you get not only commercial and GA aircraft but cargo and military as well, so you have a fully populated world right out of the box.  Reading through the forums here and over at Flight1 it looks like the user has to do a lot more work to make that happen for UTL.

Ceers, Kevlar

Hi Simbol,

BING BING BING - we have a winner !!!

I owe you a beer or beverage of your choice - thanks so much for all the hand holding - we now have moving traffic !!!

FSUIPC Traffic Limiter (Misc Tab - lower right) must be set to "0"...

Ok now than Scott is sorted I can write about the future power pack (which will be beta tested in few weeks) as I have been authorised by F1 to do so:

"PowerPack is for (features can of course change before and after release).

You will have the ability to modify the data for:

- Airlines

- Airports

- Aircraft

- And more...

Allows for the import/export of repaints. For example, the tool will make it easy to import livery packs.

The ability to apply NAVDATA updates and rebuild flight plans (this will be an advanced feature).

The ability to create and share custom add-on schedules. Schedules could be for your VA, or for carriers with unique data.

Steve "

It is also my understanding from the developer that the first power pack will have livery updates.

Best Regards

No, Air Berlin has been removed. Not sure if I ever had Fly Niki (I only have flightplans installed that are relevant to my flights around the UK and Ireland, plus quick trips across the North Sea to Amsterdam Schiphol and Copenhagen Kastrup).

Are you sure about Air Berlin having been removed?

I still see a lot of Air Berlin e.g. at EDDL and EDDT.

Actually I would not complain about that - they are out of business for only a few weeks now and I don't expect UTL to update the repaints every week. The same goes for schedules - I don't bother if schedules are maybe one year old as long as they are still reasonable.

But what I really dislike are the liveries that are outdated for several years, for example the most prevalent Germanwings livery that was given up in 2012/2013.

Apart from that I do like UTL a lot and I really hope they update the outdated liveries soon.

I bought this product.  Just briefly used it today - most of the models are really good.  I did find the delta  crj 900's to look atrocious- I mean fs98 era - can someone address that?

otherwise the GUI is pretty nice but I still have to rtfm

if anyone wants to see their home airport with airliners just pm me

EDIT: Ah, I see that I have been misunderstood. Pete probably thought that I meant that Monarch flights were included in UT Live, but I was referring to the AI environment on my own PC! Nothing to do with UT Live.

Understood. Thanks for clarifying.

A word of advice for everyone:
Backup your repaints.xml
file located in ...\Users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\Flight One Software\utLive\Data\repaints.xml.
This file contains all your assignments. This backup up will save you a lot of time and headaches if you have to reinstall UTLive.
