Of course it's more expensive... $$$. I also did read it will do a better job of running 4K which your monitor has. Regards Mark Think it's worth to go to a 1080 or 1080 TI with my 4K set up? January 5, 20188 yr IMHO (bearing in mind I have no experience with the 1080) is the jump from a 1070ti to a 1080 is a larger performance jump than 1070 to a TI version as you have more cores and your onboard memory is faster. If you have the extra budget for a 1080 or 1080Ti I would go for it. The 1080TI has a good reputation for running 4K really well. Note: The only thing I would check if you decide to bite the bullet and really move up to a 1080 is check your existing motherboard has the appropriate power cables for that GPU and your Power Supply has sufficient power to run it. January 5, 20188 yr Moderator Going from a 1070Ti to a 1080 would not be worth the extra $$. Going to a 1080Ti wouyld justify the $$, IMHO. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 5, 20188 yr What cooler do you have? I'd have thought you could get more out of your 4770K. But definitely go for a GPU. Matt

January 17, 20188 yr GPU. its the bottleneck with your current setup. Intel I7 6700k @ 4ghz, nVidia 3070ti 8gb, 16 gb ddr4 @ 1066mhz, 500 ssd, 2tb hdd, 2tb ssd, ASUS z170-E mb, Samsung 24" @ 1920x1080, P3D 5.4, MSFS
January 18, 20188 yr With one screen @ 4K it was 'excellent' with moderate settings (obviously lots of subjectivity here). I upgraded because I needed more GPU power to run two side screens. But I got the 1080 just before Xmas at $539 (Xmas pricing?), so I thought the price made it more easy to swallow going from 1070 to a 1080. Hey and I'm still running an i7-2600k at 4.8GHz. That ol' little sucker keeps chugging along. Im still 0n the i5 2500k OC to 4.6 ghz and its still after 7 years puching holes through FSX-SE lol ZORAN
