I did try with it disabled and that made no difference. January 26, 20188 yr I hope you deleted your prepar3d.cfg several times after doing all those tests? Basically, I always delete the prepar3d.cfg if I do any "bigger" adjustment within Prepar3d, also from time to time after installing several addons... All addon scenery have been disabled , P3DV4 Booster Live temperay uninstalled Also with Lorby’s Organizer my Prosim aircraft , Orbx Object Flow 2 and LM Visual FX Tool. I will also check my video drivers. Over the last 10 days there were 2 updates. Although I did a clean install I will check it too. Perhaps a leak again. At this moment I have 390.65 installed and before 388.71. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
January 26, 20188 yr If you pause when this slowdown is occurring, and leave it paused for a few minutes and then un-pause it do you see any improvement? January 26, 20188 yr Can you see the frame drop only with PSXseeconTraffic or also with the default AI traffic? You could also disable the traffic.bgl files and see if there is an improvement. Also heard that corrupted or incorrect flight plans in traffic.bgl files can cause issues... January 26, 20188 yr Author Problem solved ! The MT models were causing the leak / framerate drop. Once I installed Nico’s set and tested I only lost 12% on a 1 monitor view and 21% on my triple view. Unlimited now 32 fps instead of 14 ! January 26, 20188 yr I have experienced similar things after installing UTLive and cranking traffic to about 80% (not that matters at all, same with 30% or 100%). Using PMDG all the time, upon starting I get over 50-60 FPS but after initial set-up it drops to 20-25 (minute or so). Funny part is that if I look overhead FPS are around 40, but under VC drops down?! I deleted shadders once and it is touch better but still not perfect but workable......Once in the air (FL30-FL50), everything goes back to normal. Taxi obviously has some stuttering but I am not gonna be bothered with that, since I am all day in the air not TAXI-ing. On landing FPS drops to about 30 FPS so that is acceptable. That obviously start happening with Traffic installed. Other thing that I just noticed is that CPU temps jumps to or around 70 C, and that happens with 777 which I haven't used for a month or so. Why? I have no idea but with NGX I haven't crossed 30 C. I will fly one more time with NGX to see if it will go back. I have 6700 and MSI 1070 and set up is really perfect with lots of addons and no issues so far. No changes at all for month or so except, Win update and new NVDIA drivers and they could be some kind of culprits (and of course recent urgent BIOS change by INTEL). Alex

January 26, 20188 yr I have been using P3DV4.1 Live traffic since it's inception with MT6 aircraft, 4 hrs a day, 100's of hours and never experienced any issues.

I see, maybe there is a difference in how old the MT6 set is that you are using... P3Dv4 does not like FS9 liveries, that's for sure.
January 26, 20188 yr I should clarify some what. I don't get any more negative impacts on FPS using live traffic and MT6 aircraft than using any standalone AI traffic program. Yes there is an impact and the more aircraft spawned the greater. Its always been that way in FS. Back in the olden days, before boomer computers, we always shut off AI traffic or kept it a bare minimum to increase performance. It was the first thing you did to get decent performance. I'm setting in Atlanta now with a gazillion aircraft spawned and 25fps external view. No worst than it's ever been. I expect that. I can only assume also that theses AI aircraft using .bmp doesn't help matters also. I notice the packages that Nick recommend all use modern textures.

MT is far more taxing on my system than the set I am using now. However , if you fly with 1 monitor you probably won’t have much of an issue as 40 fps instead of 55 fps is still enough. And If you are using Unlimited with 30 hrtz and Vsync you will never notice it. January 29, 20188 yr For anyone that want's to check his AI aircraft library for P3D V4 compatibility, you can use Lorby's Thumbnail report generator, which generates a report. In the report there must be no MDL8 entry which hints to a FS9 aircraft which will cause issues under V4. If the entry shows MDLX, you are fine. Download: https://lorby-si.weebly.com/downloads.html I have eliminated all MDL8 aircrafts from my AI aircraft library, and V4 works fine. August 9, 20187 yr Hi Gerard I too have noticed this behaviour but only since upgrading to P3D V4.3 from V4.2. I still use the same UTL for AI. It has been driving me crazy. I´ve disabled each and every addon to do with scenery/texture and still the issue persists. Now that I have read all the previous replies I am going to disable UTL and see what happens. Maybe something in V4.3 changed how the sim looks at AI textures. So I disabled UTL and still the same issue. I did find out that if you use a drop down menu and then come back out then the frame rates increase again but only for about 30 seconds. Using a GTX760 with the latest drivers.
