Is this a paid advertise post?
I can only think about ORBX, FlyTampa, Flightbeam or so if I read "excellent scenery".

What NMG is selling is just a modified AFCAD/Default

Richard, with all due respect, I think you and I have different definitions of excellence.

I would love to see a high-quality rendition of FACT (also FAOR, but I digress). This isn't it, although they appear to have brazenly set the price point as though it is!

Hi Timm,

Certainly no advertisement. I have just installed the P3Dv4 FACT scenery and thought it excellent. That is why I said it.

Cheers, Richard

The fact is no one else is doing So Africa scenery, so I for one want to support that.  I will grab the FACT now that it is ready for P3Dv4 but I would rather they update the FAOR because I'm US-based and there are Delta KATL-FAOR flights.  As for quality, when no one else is doing the scenery, it is not the key consideration as long as it is better than Blueprint, which it is.  I'd put NMG squarely in the middle of the pack.

Totally agree..I have all NMG airports installed and it's the best we have for now....far better than default...FAOR has just been updated for P3D v4..

Regards from FACT!

Tim, I think you need to realise that us "more senior guys" in the community have been into flight simulation for many years, with computers which were developed long before you were around (Commodore 64,etc). We are not on these forums to promote any company. We have a totally different mindset to you youngsters. We are beyond profiteering and "advertising other companies". You are in a different world from which we originate. We are into simulation for the fun of it!! No other motives. Richard is just spreading his love of scenery which we could have never imagined to be possible in our early simulator adventures. Please be respectful for the older generation. We are not "money hungry" the way you youngsters are today. We are on these forums for the fun of flight simulation. Please Google the word "Fun". You may be surprised by that word and it may change your views as to why us "seniors" are into this hobby....

You ask someone to be respectful whilst making numerous broad disrespectful generalisations about them.  Take your own advice on being respectful and keep your generational sociology out of it.

I'll have a look at the scenery.  Thanks Richard.

Cheers as always,

I didn't anything see wrong in Richard's post. Sure the wording might be confused but I have been long enough in that forum to know that it is not his intent.

But sorry to say, the speech about the generation gap and the cliche about youngsters/elders is a definitely NO NO to me.

Thank you Richard.  I'm glad that you posted about these South African airports. I haven't flown in that area because of the lack of good looking airports and these will certainly change that and get me down there.

I had never heard about these airports and really appreciate you posting about it.

Thank you my friend.

Hi Robert,

I agree with you completely. I feel that flying in Africa is not currently popular because pilots expect it not to have many airport sceneries. We are, however, seeing the emergence of a number of northern and southern African airports.

I look forward to increased traffic in the area.

Cheers, Richard

PS I did feel hurt by Timm's attitude.

Actually,

It looks like they are advertising FAOR for V4. And I'm an old guy who didn't have a problem with what Timm said.
