Correct me if I'm wrong, but since the real airport is still under construction with no established opening date (it was originally supposed to open in 2011, yikes!) there are no published approaches and there is no data for it in the various FMC databases, yes?

Be careful NOT to run the configurator which seems to have a bug according to the AS forum. It doesn't rename files but just deletes them, what's not exactly the same.

I'm sure they will provide an upgraded configurator soon. (According to reports, the beta didn't seem to have had this "feature".)

Kind regards, Michael

It is the reality feature Aerosoft has introduced: BER Frustration.

Think you get a whole airport - just get an unfinished product

You are partially wrong. BER is not under construction - nobody is working there

And Aerosoft provides a deleting configuration tool, which allows you to set BER to it's current state. Schoenefeld and parts of the new airport used, e.g. Cargo Terminal. So the scenery is a must have, if you want to fly to BER.

As far as I can say, performance is also very good in P3Dv4

Daily reminder... In the real world its costing Sxf A MILLION EUROS A DAY  to keep the 'lights on'  at BER with various fees.  A million a day!!!

I remember when I was at easyJet Brady and Facey used to love telling us now cheap we where getting services at SXF because of the BER shambles.  At one point I think they where actually paying us compensation

Yes, they even keep the people movers running, just without the people. Apparently maintenance costs are lower this way...

That's EPIC!!!.

That's made my day.  Only because I'm a horrible git.

I remember in 2014 when we paid 3.5 million out in taxis around the UK network as we where so short of crew as we lost an obscene amount of f/o 's and cabin crew to BA.  The head of ops back then Brady litteray would tell us (as we battled to crew flights and had people breaking down in tears trying to crew stuff)   "Dont worry guys about taxis and hotel costs, we're making a killing on Berlin"

Oh lord Halcyon days.  Im glad I'm out of there

Thanks for advising. I had the first version so they're giving a discount for previous owners.

 Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb

And a train have to run once a day through the tunnel to avoid mouldiness

I also had the first version which stayed around a day or so on my PC.

Hopefully they nailed it this time without all the issues in version 1.

It might be confusing, but currently EDDB is the code for Schonefeld airport, which is quite a busy hub for airlines like easyJet, Ryanair or Condor.
So, yes, there are published charts for EDDB. When (or if, lol) the Berlin Bradenburg airport is officially opened, Schonefeld will become part of it.
