Yup, only in service for ~15 years...yet more than 2,000 manufactured, and at the peak in the late 50s, nearly 1400 were operational in 28 active bomb wings.  The "good old days"  ☢️

Was just down in Pueblo CO at the Weisbrod Aviation Museum admiring one of these last month.  Impressive to stand next to one even today.

Tinker AFB had (and still has) a display version of this next to I-40. It's been there since I was very young (and I'm 41 now). I always loved looking at it when we passed the base. 

Just became my desktop background - on a 42 " monitor
