Probably a matter of having the right board setup OK, thanks, sure hope the firmware can be conveniently updated and Honeycomb is willing to do so. And nice job with the Arduino mod & video. November 20, 20196 yr There is now a Honeycomb Aeronautical forum. MarkH https://www.youtube.com/@AlmostAviation AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / 64Gb DDR5 / Zotac RTX 5070 Ti / 2560 x 1440 display
November 21, 20196 yr I have noticed that the dead zone and P3D is much more noticeable when compared to XP11. Using the FJS 727, a small movement of the Yoke to the left and right shows a movement in the sim, Where as in P3D using the NGXu, I really need to move about 10 or 20° before I can see some movement in the sim. When you say "movement" above, do you mean movement of the VC yoke itself, or movement (turning) of the aircraft in response to the yoke? Thx, Al

I wonder if this just reflects P3D's exponential scaling of the yoke input. X-Plane doesn't do this by default, so you get a closer to linear response (which you can tweak in all sorts of ways). But the basic dead zones are just as clear in X-Plane when you look at the calibration screen or monitor the flight controls datarefs (Data Output / Item 8). P.S. If you are using FSUIPC you should also check you have the 'delta' value set to 128 or less, otherwise you are losing precision in the yoke data stream. November 22, 20196 yr I haven’t been super affected by the deadzones. They are certainly there when I tested it out, but in my day to day flying it hasn’t been a big deal. Going from the 45 degrees of the saitek to the 90 degrees took some getting used to so it might have “masked” its effect on me personally. First of all, hope your family all the best Dave. Did you specifically get a response from Honeycomb regarding the firmware? Not sure If I'm missing it but I can't find anything relating to it on the Honeycomb Support forums unless you were generally suggesting we post there about it. Thanks!
