December 25, 20196 yr Commercial Member Hi everyone! I finally built a new PC with the specs below and I am absolutely blown away by the P3D V4 performance. I am finally getting great performance and amazing visual from a flight simulator, my dream has come true 🙂 I am sitting at KSFO from FlightBeam with all settings pretty much set to the max and I am getting 60FPS inside the VC. I have ENVTEX also set to 4K res. I am still in shock, in a good way 🙂 i9-9900K O/C 5.0 GHz | GeForce GTX 1080 TI | 32GB DDR 4 - 3200MHz | Sabrent 512GB M.2 & Sabrent 1TB M.2 | Kaken X62 Cpu Cooler | NZXT H510 Elite Case Merry Christmas to everyone! https://i.ibb.co/bzDH8YW/Capture.png Edited December 25, 20196 yr by Le Français Discord | YouTube | iFly Schedules 34" Odyssey OLED G8 175Hz | 3440X1440 | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | PNY VERTO OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB | G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 | Asus ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI ATX AM5 | Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 | ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler | Fractal Design North XL ATX Full Tower Case

December 26, 20196 yr It's great to see this kind of positive feedback ! One new simmer who fly and dosen't tweak. Enjoy every minutes of (sim) fly ! Vincent B. Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.
December 26, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member Thank you so much everyone for the positive feedback. I've been simming for 15+ years and it feels good to be at a good point. Quick question, should I lock my frames using the internal P3D limiter? I mean if i can be steady at 40fps, I am happy. Thoughts on locking frames on a system like mine? Most users lock their fps and use FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.10 to get back lost fps. If you arrive at an airport and have no AG, then change the number to default 0.33. BTW: What board did you get? December 26, 20196 yr Just leave your system as is. Just enjoy it and please sim & congrats How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)

Just because you have a great system, it doesn't mean you shouldn't consider locking your frames in P3D. Running P3D v4 with unlimited fps has been the culprit of many issues including stutters, blurries, and even CTDs. MSFS

On my system, I get blurries on locked frame and ultra smooth on unlimited (with no blurries or ctds). It all depends on the system. If the op is getting the fps he wants and is happy; why change anything - just enjoy it. He asked a question and we gave him some answers. 😁 MSFS
December 26, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member It runs fine unlocked, however, my GPU is really working and the load is anywhere from 99% to 75% and the fan is getting a tiny bit loud. Also, unlimited my FPS jump anywhere from 40 to 65. That's why 🙂 Edited December 26, 20196 yr by Le Français Discord | YouTube | iFly Schedules 34" Odyssey OLED G8 175Hz | 3440X1440 | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | PNY VERTO OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB | G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 | Asus ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI ATX AM5 | Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 | ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler | Fractal Design North XL ATX Full Tower Case
