They literally said they implemented runway slopes according to charts.

Slope is not undulation, it's explained in the thread, if you care to read it.

He acknowledged RWY slope in a later post.

Guys,

I think what you all are trying to say, is can the taxiways and apron areas maybe follow the mesh to some degree.  Yes they do dip and such.  I've experienced it quite a number of times IRL.  I've parked on a down slope and not put the parking brake on and the aircraft moved forward.  I've taxid 'down' the taxi way and my speed ran away.  I've not been able to see the other end of the RWY because there's a hump in the middle (those things are also charted).

It's all up to the devs and if they have the time to implement it, etc.  I can see why you'd ask given the new terrain engine and the fact you can land on any surface and such; just not sure how feasible it will be for them.  I'd imagine there will be some and for most there won't be.  Something to add to the 3PD dev list I guess.

How am I a troll?  And certainly your post contributes nothing to the discussion, well done!

I was responding to another poster.  Is there some reason you thought I was talking about you?  Or to you?  I have you on ignore, btw.

I wonder how the admins would handle this if the same trolling were directed against Avsim.  Or against one of the major developers here.  How long would this have gone on in the PMDG forums?

When it happened in the Microsoft Flight forums it was handled.  We were able to discuss Flight without problems.

Sure, maybe try quoting that poster then.

Who's trolling in this post and what is being trolled?  Aren't we discussing implementation of airport elevation (including runway/taxiways/aprons)

37K manually edited airports probably just mean that they went over them and took care of the basic layout and that things are where they are supposed to be. But I doubt that the buildings will look like they actually do. That will be the case with the 80 detailed airports.

Do you think that EIDL, KASE, NZQN and TFFJ are included in those 80 detailed airports? The buildings all look pretty accurate to me. But, of course, others opinions may differ.

May all your landings be safe ones!

Okay, if I get really picky, then there are some errors in the appearance of the servicing procedures at the airport, which the developers may or may not go to the trouble of addressing should they see this. So on the offchance that they do, and if they can be bothered tweaking it...

It's the First Alpha, they have not even gone to Alpha 2  yet......So much is going to change in the next few months.  Wait and see what the full release is like.... You are right you are picky.

."Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."

Oh nice, I LOVE this quote!!!! I just came in here to peek, while clothes are in the dryer..... or am I? Sorry, gotta go, the flight attendant says passengers are asking why the ground is getting so close.

And the trees are getting bigger. Lol. Sorry, couldn't help myself, must be all the cough syrup

An alpha literally means it's not feature complete. If it were feature complete, it'd be in beta.

Point out the flaws, but it's beyond annoying to see these mini-meltdowns by a few posters who can't grasp that the game is still being worked on. And if your pet feature isn't implemented perfectly, you'll still play it and we all know it.

This is what worries me. No metal mat runways is a no-buy.

And no ice/snow either! (Antarctica)
