You're most welcome.  Without giving anything away, I'll say that it's definitely work... and that there are reasons I'm happy to put the work in. Feel free to interpret from there... 😎

I was on a beta for a few airports and GSX and while it wasn’t as monotonous as beta testing a whole sim, it’s not exactly fun and games. I personally couldn’t even apply to be on the MSFS beta since I’m still on Win 7 and my rig isn’t up to par, but even if it was, I’m no sure I’d want to do it with all the other stuff I have going on. Just not enough hours in the day for me. I’ll be fine just waiting for the final product.

@cmpbellsjc - This one isn't as structured as a beta test - it'll probably get that way when it grows up to be a beta.  But it's still much more a test environment than an entertainment experience.  Which is exactly what I'd expect.  I'll be happy to have the entertainment later - maybe when everybody else does, too.

Well, you lovers of authoritarian government have won.  Our governor has ordered everyone to wear face masks in public starting Saturday or pay a 100 dollar fine.

Just one more freedom tossed down the well of oblivion.

What's next?  Mandating my diet?  Fining me for eating red meat, butter and eggs?

Those of you who will applaud our governor's decision watch your backs.  Big Sister is smiling in New Mexico.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Human nature at its most stubborn has probably forced her hand.  I detect all kinds of agenda at play behind your comment, not one of them to do with common sense.

Who needs common sense when you have 'government sense' to take it's place?

I'll be sure to let everyone here know if I come down with it so you can all say, "I told you so!"  Meanwhile you will have to live with my decision which doesn't affect you at all.

I’d like to know what you would say to someone in a hospital icu because you infected them while practicing your mask protest at the convenience store line.

That seems circular. After all, this government sense only finally came about because of a general lack of common sense.

Next thing you know, they’ll regulate how fast you can drive on the road. Or maximum occupancy in an elevator. Or forcing you to yield the right of way to an ambulance. Our rights as people to be stupid is gone! But we’ll find a way. We always do.

How would I know it was I who infected them when over half the people aren't wearing masks.

Common sense is in they eye of the beholder.

That was not the question. But you do bring up an interesting second insight into your thinking.  Do you find it ok that you hurt someone, as long as you cannot be held responsible for it? But the first question remains, what would you say to that person?

What if the beholder is blind?

Who gets to decide what's stupid and what's not.  All the cases you mentioned are sensible.  A one size fits all masking regulation which makes sense in the Navajo Nation and the Albuquerque  metro area is not required in areas that have a very low number of cases viz-a-viz the local population and very slow growth.

Let me ask you a question Kevin.  Is there any government regulation you disagree with?

Sure.  It would be OK for me to shoot a home invader.  IO cold cite sme more examples but it would be getting into politics.

For your second (first) question.  "Too bad you were in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Sure. Plenty. Those that are rooted in political motivations. But for health and safety regs, what’s not to like? Unless you can’t drive fifty five.
