Good customer service would have been to entice me to the new version for a reduced price. That's what many other companies do. Such as Hi-Fi Technology with Active Sky. PMDG might be having a sale but strange how it doesn't  include the 737NGXu. I wonder why.

They gave you 100 plus dollars off the msfs iteration when that is released...😳

I'm still missing how they didn't entice you. 

I'm also missing why they are supposed to cater to you're specific needs. Especially since you bought a product that was 8 years old at the time. 

Just like how DCS offer sales but the f16 f14 and f18 were never on sale after they were released. I wonder why.

I'm not trying to be rude. However, some of the logic on this forum borderlines an entitlement mentality.

Why???? If I buy call of duty or Madden of FIFA or red dead redemption on a PS4. I literally have to pay the same price for the same game if I want to play said game on my PC. 

Why is flightsim any different in this regard. Why do we expect anything different. 

They are all different platforms....

So are x plane, fsx, p3d and msfs 2020.

Well, you should check with them because I have been known to be wrong but I think that's what I read. I remember thinking it makes little sense to me because what incentive is there for me to buy the P3D version when I get my new PC up and running? I would have bought it and run it on P3D for a few months until MSFS came out. I wouldn't have minded paying for it for P3D and then paying a little more to have on both platforms but I'm not buying it twice when it is likely I will only use the one for a few months. I do own the FSX version, too so that would mean buying it 3 times. Sort of.

Pointless offer if I don’t buy MFS. I’m not the only person wanting the existing NGX version to run in v5. Lots would given their financial situation may have changed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Many people have lost their jobs. I’m sure you’ve noticed.

Much of the code remains the same. It’s not as if they’re starting with a blank sheet of paper.

You are correct, that offer was only valid if you purchased by December 31st 2019

Maybe you missed something. They were offering an upgrade if you bought until 31.12.2019. So, why before and not after? What does that have anything to do with NG3 in MSFS, which will come God knows when...

Sales are for a limited time. That's how they work. That's why it was eventually stopped. 

Because PMDG knows that there are insane amounts of interest in msfs 2020 from the community. Therefore they offered an option to get the airplane for both platforms. 

Why do YOU feel you are entitled to the ngxu for free across two different platforms?

Code for what? I mentioned a number of current titles in that post you quoted. 

So someone bought the NGX in January 2019, well after PMDG announced their intentions to make an NG3, and now we have an entire thread dedicated to their regrets. Very informative!

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thing is, the NGXu for P3D is $100. I think that is reasonable for the standard of the product. I also have no problem paying for another 737 from them despite having the original. Much time has passed, P3D is a different platform that has evolved and they have done much to improve the 737. I have no trouble paying again. Not sure why anyone would. But I'm not paying $100 in 3 months only to have to pay another $100 3 months after that. It's madness. If they said to me pay us $100 for your P3D version and when you want the MSFS version we will only charge you $30-40 I wouldn't grumble. After all, they will still have to work on it for it to work in MSFS.

So, they have made my mind up for me. They could have gotten $140 out of me but now they will only get $100.

That's just where I am with it anyway. I will buy all their stuff, again, when MSFS is out because it's their stuff that really makes simming what I want it to be. They just do what I love and it oozes quality but I'm not buying it all again and twice within the same 6 month period.

Sorry but I’ve been saying this for a long time, PMDG and their business practices and customer service (if you can call it that) are a disgrace. Where are all those brave PMDG groupies now......?

what a shock, the NGX not updated for p3D5 and the NGXu - very little more than a service pack at full cost - what a joke.  They show their true colours once again, and the B777 is never going to get updated, so if you buy it expecting it to be, based on their never ending and obviously misleading information - you probably deserve to get fleeced now.

First I was surprised when I read that they wont charge any upgrade prices. But soon later I found out they wont update the NGX which would be by their own words just an installer update. I started to hate pmdg so much. Unbeaten in greed and overpricing.
