Hello @ll,

the Prepar3D Addon Organizer app has been updated to version 1.5

  • Compatibility with P3D Version 5
  • The app changes its name and installation location (since it now supports three P3D versions 3.3 through 5)
  • Please uninstall the previous version at some point, otherwise you have both on your computer
  • Check application settings and reapply if necessary

Best regards

LORBY-SI

Thanks Olivier. Got it and installed right away.

Windows Defender found its first threat for me with that download. Can anyone else confirm?

Cheers!

I make simFDR, the most advanced flight data recorder for FSX, Prepar3D and X-Plane.

Mine block the zip as well.  I overroad the block, downloaded and installed with no issue.

Is there a way to migrate the addons that I had in P3dV4.5 via the Addon-organizer to P3dV5 without having to do each individual addon?

Please take note of the red text at the top of the downloads page.

All files are constantly checked with Norton Security Premium. The MD5 hashcode is provided as well, to make sure the ZIP has not been tampered with

Sorry, but I am done filling out forms for Microsoft and Google every time somebody flags the download links as evil for SmartScreen etc.

Best regards

Hi Oliver-

I have downloaded and installed V5. 4.5 still exists on my system. Is there anything that must be down to the Addon Manager prior to uninstalling it and installing the V5 version?

My first plan of action is to get all of my MegaScenery in, followed by airports and aircraft as they become available. Then maybe all the ORBX stuff.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark,

not really, no. It is just that through the change in name and installation path the app would be there twice when you install the new one.

You can always create a backup ZIP file with the old P4AO, just in case.

Hi Oliver:

Could you please check what could be happening with the latest P4AO version and the feature to add the add-on airports to Google Earth?. Mine here is not working after I installed your latest P4AO.

Thanks, Ed

Hello Ed,

many thanks for the report. Fixed and new version 1.50 b04 has been uploaded.

... the BGL format has changed in P3D V5 to support the new runway, taxiway etc. format. I suppose we will be seeing a lot of this in the various scenery scanning apps (like EFBs)

Best regards

Oliver,

Thank you for this great tool and getting it V5 ready so quickly.  Honestly, I'd go crazy without it.

Question:  I just installed P3D v5.  (Have NOT added anything to it yet other than one DLL pushed out by LM for a VR fix earlier today.)  I followed the instructions above, first backing up the zip, then uninstalling P4AO (prior version, used extensively for P3D 4.5).  Then I installed 1.50 b04 as above.  Runs fine....

Config files look perfectly normal as I left them in v4.5  When I click on Prepar3D v5.0+ (top tab), all looks good with the exception of a rogue entry in "Other addons". Its listed under SimObjects and its entitled 'TrafficGlobalFleet', a program I used formerly but deleted / uninstalled in v4.5.  When I expand this entry, it points to a location on one of my HDD's where this thing USED to reside - but the directory is no longer there since I removed it.  Strangely, when I highlight this entry and select "Delete Component:, I am offered the choice of saving the config files as usual, but then....it is still there.  Cannot get rid of it,  Wont go away.  PS, it also appears in the Prepar3D v4.1+ tab also.  and I cant get rid of it there, either....

Yes, I had been using TG in 4.5  but it was uninstalled and deleted.  Curious as to how this entry end up in a brand new install of V5 , and how do I get rid of it ?  In %users%documents\P3D v5 add ons, there is only ONE entry, and that is the VR hotifx .dll that LM just published.

thanks in advance and best regards,

John B
