I should be able to get a few short flights done over the weekend, so I will monitor the situation.

It's just a placebo for the OP. All that function does is adjust the size of the application window to the screen. Nothing more. Why would it have any effect on stutters? It does one thing (fill the screen) and nothing else until you tell it to.

Every other day on this forum it's someone bursting through the door to tell us about their latest revelation. 🙄

Alex, you don't know what you're talking about.  This was absolutely verified/validated multiple times by me.  Had YOU witnessed this, rather than assuming you know everything which in itself in this domain is in itself an idiotic position to take with all of the dependences and interactions involved in this software, you would have absolutely conceded the startling impressive improvement seen.

This being said it appears disabling full screen optimizations is the built-in solution as conveyed above and by reiterated by Beau Hollis when I posted this on the LM forum yesterday.  So this is a known issue that some will have stumbled on themselves, and of course not all configurations are likely to be the same.

I think this is a Windows problem not a P3D problem. I've seen it in beta testing. Has to do with a update to Windows10..

Try this: Right click p3d icon, go to properties, check the box for "disable full screen optimisations"

See if it gives the same effect as unchecking that box in P3D.

Yes this seems to have fixed the issue in the test flight I just did in the Dash 8 in a complex scene.  I can enable auto-fill and the stuttering issue remains resolved.  This was corroborated by LM on their forum when I posted the issue there.   He also said leaving game bar enabled could also contribute to this problem for some.

Tomaz, are you using UNLIMITED/vsync to 30Hz screen?  The baseline fluid video comes from that, and this particular stuttering issue had to do w/ conflicts w/ full screen optimizations or something along those lines.

So disabling full-screen optimizations, which has been suggested for years now, was the real solution? Ok.

I'm using unlimited/vsync but at 60Hz. I already have "Disable fullscreen optimizations" checked. Maybe it's a v5 thing?

What is this and how to disable please?

So it's both something that has been suggested for years and a placebo, interesting 🤔

Go to windows settings, Gaming. The game bar has shortcuts to let you do things like record clips and take screen shots.

I was not aware of that one either, so please don't assume that this is a pointless thread.
