MSFS included Boeing 747-8

Featured Replies

i was wondering if the included 747 will have the same quality as a PMDG 3rd party add-on, I'm sure most of us don't have a answer to this yet but the MSFS looks pretty darn good

It is clear from the A320 release notes that Asobo plans to deliver aircraft with far more systems detail than we’ve ever seen in a default aircraft. I doubt the aircraft will match the attention to detail of PMDG, not because they can’t, but because the number of users seeking that level of detail is likely a vanishingly small percentage. That extra development effort could be put into features that would be useful to a much larger audience. I admit that I could be completely wrong though. 🤭

You’re right, but not likely.

As @threegreen said, this is just like the other topic on the Airbus. Most likely it will be better than FSX default but not on par with PMDG or FSL as far as systems.

Well I bet PMDG will come with MSFS aircraft after the release anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much about the detail of the standard aircraft.

You almost answered your own question. Except all should be replaced with most. Since the Alpha is under an NDA we know nothing. When the final product is finished we will know how it compares to other products on other platforms.

Yeah... even tho some devs complain about the SDK, I have faith there will be such addons. If you look at it with common sense and put every piece of the puzzle together, it makes no sense if they wouldn't offer that opportunity.

Most importantly I didn't see a big dev comment on anything yet. The only info we have, is that PMDG is focusing on MSFS. You can bet they aren't painting liveries.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

Nobody knows, except the devs themselves. They are the only ones who know how complex they are aiming for the aircrafts to be.

Not even the alpha testers know, as the airplanes are still a work in progress. Also the 747 is still coming in the next alpha build.

The Systems will not be at that level of depth, but the Graphics quality and texturing will be far better than the current Pmdg in P3d.

That’s another one that we don’t know the answer to.
