Yes, because airlines are being bailed out/going bankrupt, MSFS will be dumbed down. Sound logic. Now let's discuss the effect of Taylor Swift cancelling her concerts will have on the flight model. 28 minutes ago, mp15 said: Hyper-inflation Is around the corner, I already saw how tomatoes went from 2$ to $3,99 at the groceries. So Is not only how much the subscription will cost with the new prices and if people will afford It or not, but also the possibility of a fund developement cut, in this case there wont be any game this year and we all gonna end playing marbles. Logically, if tomatoes double in price, subscription costs for MSFS will also double, because that's how the economy works. So instead of 0$ for your MSFS subscription you will have to pay twice that amount! /s Edited May 6, 20206 yr by MagentaChild

It can play on either side... As I mentioned above, the Agence France-Press article that hinted about MSFS release, talks about the Video Game industry that made good amount of profits during this crisis unlike other industries... So maybe more will be spent on this sector of entertainment for the upcoming months... I just hope MS won't put pressure on Asobo to deploy something quick and rough... ________________________________LEBOR SIMULATIONSScenery for Flight Simulators since 1998

It seems you didn't understand the concept of injecting fake trafic in game and dumbing things around because most airlines will dissappear very soon except the ones that will be bailed out by the gov.

If It was only that.. your domestic computer should exercise in more than 10 fps in big airports too Maybe they didn't it solve yet, because it's so small insignificant problem and they plan solving those minor issues during beta, after they finishing functionalities list? I think it's more logical explanation, than your shouts "of course, is it not possible MSFS releasing this year" 😉
May 6, 20206 yr The chinese virus caused a quarantine and the entertainment sector made a profit out of It. MS will probably pressure As for the game to be ready but there Is a contract and a global pandemic Is a Fair cause to delay things if necessary.

If Microsoft profits from this, it is fairly reasonable to assume that they have been behind this all the time. They planted the virus in china so it would cause a global pandemic and quarantine so they could make Asobo publish MSFS early and earn some big $$$. True story. So it's not a "chinese virus", it's an american virus! /s
May 6, 20206 yr We better just stick with official info. Speculations won't add much to the discussion. They've officially said that the Simulator will be released on 2020 and the last time they talked about the development situation, they've said they are on schedule, but they had to change some of their priorities. Being on schedule means they have the main features being delivered on time. Unless they come to the public saying they will have to postpone the release, I will count on a 2020 release. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
May 6, 20206 yr Top management and Press voices can officially give a release date for 2020 but in reality, It Is all in hands of the people who actually do the real work, the devs. Statement was made before the chinese virus appearance, work from home reduce efficiency and communication by up to 70% bugs and unexpected errors will appear, May Is already gone, in the northern hemisphere the hot weather apply from June to September so here the work force and vital energies reduce to half. Then there is october and november, here we may watch some game play, by december people go on vacations and merry xmas but only @MagentaChild would bet on a 2020 release.

The official release is 2020. Speculating in here isn't going to change that. Could it get delayed, yes of course. There is even a chance it could get cancelled all together, but what's the point of arguing over something that is just pure guess work on your side. It's totally pointless and silly.
May 6, 20206 yr Even though the virus could have delayed development, remember that the developers themselves said it was progressing faster than expected before that, which is why Tech Alpha 2 was renamed to Alpha. If the release was planned to be in 2020 this time last year, then it should still be 2020.
May 6, 20206 yr Reason, facts, official statements? Come on, that's not fun. Let's throw in some speculation, wild guesses, conspirational thinking and baseless assumptions to make this at least somewhat entertaining until the summer heat drains our energy by 50%.

We've seen screenshots without AI wheels sinking into the ground, so it isn't a consistent bug. It's still in alpha, minor cosmetic bugs like that wouldn't be a priority until Beta or even launch. The focus right now would be game breaking bugs, and if you think wheels sinking into the ground is a game breaking bug, then you have some odd priorities. Edited May 6, 20206 yr by Tuskin38

I'm sure we are not alone, but we are spending far less overall at the moment and therefore have more disposable income for gaming, films, subscriptions, or whatever, should we wish too. Obviously that is not the case for all, and it depends on the country you live in, and the benefits afforded to you. 1Q 2020 earnings: "Video-game makers Activision Blizzard and Electronic Arts both beat on top- and bottom-line results as stay-at-home orders drove a surge in demand."
