Sure is a ridiculous number for an alpha. I think they bit on more they could chew. They werent ready for such a huge number of applicants. Thats the only reason why only 11 to 12k people are in the alpha from the 60k who applied. Another failed strategy and the most frustrating selection process of any alpha I have ever seen. Applied in September and still waiting(8 months), while I personally know people who registered in dec/jan, are probably flying the 748 as we speak. Now each time they send out only a couple hundred invites because they dont want to over stress their servers right now.

Well obviously Asobo could publish whatever videos they were happy with, do you now see the irony of your critique of my comment?

Who knows what Alpha version this is. This could very well be fixed or improved already. It's just like the drama about undulated runways and tree size. Incidentally, the buildings started to have lights some weeks back when they had none at the beginning.

It's startling how some people keep complaining about something which is literally still WIP and being worked on full steam every single day. Just because your car doesn't have doors until a certain point in the production doesn't mean it never will.

You are making multiple demands, and they are indeed demands toward an organization that as has been pointed out, owes us absolutely nothing.

Post that on the Orbx forum, or just about any other third party forum about upcoming sceneries and you would be censured right quick, and nobody would even blink.

It comes across as very entitled, which I know we do, here.....

But still....

I noticed no autogen/autogen popping up like FSX/P3D in another video as well. To be honest with you guys In some clips the sim looks incredible but in others it looks like a polished P3D which isn't a bad thing but it could be we still have issues that has plagued FSX/P3D like popping autogen, sutters, etc..

I also wish they would release more videos, screenshots are cool but you can make any game look amazing in pictures. It's safe to say there's still a lot of work to be done before the beta.

They are, we’re getting one on Thursday... if that’s not enough I’ll refer you back to my first post. An look how long it’s the taken them to get this video ready.

Look, I’m not in the alpha an believe me I would sell my grandmother to get in there so I’m living on the scraps asobo/Leaks provide us like you but there is a reason for the lack of it. I do think this is because it’s just not ready plus an element of a marketing strategy to it also. Which there right to do so to create the most hype on launch.

Oh Orbx, I must have spent about $500+ on their add-ons in the past, I can't see myself buying anything from them ever again. Do they still exist?

Oh right, didn't think of that writing the comment. However, the point still stands. The developers are well aware of what their world looks like and if not there are 10k or so testers. So don't fret over a flaw in a WIP which is still in the process of coming together.

Lets get back on topic please before this topic gets locked because people want to criticize a leaked video of an alpha product.

If you ask me, I was blown away by that 748 video. I have never seen anything remotely close like that in a flight sim. Its amazing how their graphics engine captures the night environment so realistically. Talk about volumetric lighting. Just need road traffic and voila !

Wasn't it claimed that everyone who signed up would get a shot at the alpha? The entire process has been flawed from day. I've tested for other mainstream games and they usually have set requirements, don't meet them you don't get in. This to me seems like MS is collecting a lot of information from users but only allowing a small % access to the alpha. Sneaky.
