August 3, 20205 yr Since it seems that YT'ers are allowed to now make and post videos of the new sim, I thought maybe we could start a new topic that would allow us to post requests (for the YT'ers paying attention here) for certain locals or airports that each of us might like to see. I will start the ball rolling by asking if any of you are from my area (Long Island, NY) could you please post a video of KFRG (Farmingdale Republic). It would be great to see how the taxiways are laid out and look as well as as a short approach to rwy19 🙂 Edited August 3, 20205 yr by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

August 3, 20205 yr Request: Take off from SDVH, fly heading south over Atibaia city and land at the municipal airport. It's a 700m long dirt airstrip, really challenging. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by andrecarli737

August 3, 20205 yr I'd be interested to see Liverpool and Manchester in the UK. These are pretty busy airports, which have some decent payware versions in other sims from a number of TPDs. so it'd be pretty telling to see how a default EGCC in the new MS sim stacks up against a payware Aerosoft or UK2000 version of there. There's a variety of terrain around them, from flat land in the Wirral, to the Pennines and the hills of North Wales, with the Irish Sea alongside it all. So it'd be interesting with Live Weather too. What would also be interesting, is somewhere like Archangelsk (ULAA) in Russia, which is well off the beaten track but is a busy port and a large city with a big airport which used to be a MiG-25 interceptor base, so it has a specialised grooved runway surface. There's pretty nice and realistically detailed freeware for that airport for FSX and P3D and the adjacent city with custom autogen in it. I'd be interested to see how that stacks up against the on the fly stuff in the default MS sim. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 3, 20205 yr More coverage of the Caribbean and south america area (islands, Panama, Mexico, Colombia etc) thankyou.
August 3, 20205 yr Interested to see if Hawaii is looking decent. Request: Takeoff from Honolulu and fly to and land at one of the other islands. I used to like Hawaiian island hopping in past versions of MFS. Used TileProxy to enhance that at one time.

Not sure if you’ve seen this yet. EGCC is my hometown airport too, definitely doesn’t stack up from what I can see but guess it’s what I expected.
August 3, 20205 yr Would like a Youtuber to do YVR and fly over parts of Vancouver (Canada). If anybody else knows a video of somebody who flew over YVR and/or Vancouver, please reply to this message. Thanks. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by abrams_tank i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

If you search his youtube channel you should find it. Give you an idea how the basic Manchester looks. Seems okay to me. Not amazing but will do until there is a payware version out. Personally I would like to see a flight out of Barton Field, EGCB. Did suggest it on a Quill18 Video. If you take off and turn to the east you should see on your right the Trafford Centre, followed by Old Trafford Manchester United ground and Salford Quays, the formally biggest inland port in the world and now the homes of both ITV and BBC in what's known as Media City. Keep travelling east you will eventually come into the town center and just the other side of that you should come across Manchester City's home in the The Etihad Stadium. Quite a few little points of interest on the route with two major football stadiums and homes of big media outlets. Not sure how much will be render correctly with custom assets. Maybe the two football stadiums but would make for an interesting little sight seeing tour around one of the UK biggest cities.

Yeah, saw that, but it's from the stands up right near 23R 50-54, so you don't see if they've got the taxiways right elsewhere, although based on what you can see, it doesn't look too promising on that score because apart from sort of vaguely looking a bit like EGCC, that is to say the control tower is sort of similar to the real one, its not really a good representation of the place at all, and why you can't get a pushback off the stand he is on in that flight is beyond me, that's just about the easiest jet pushback there is at EGCC. Manchester is my hometown so I would love to see this too however I’m going to keep my expectations low when it comes to custom assets. Given that London, not that it’s horrendous but for the flagship city of the U.K. is definitely lacking. I don’t want to be too nitpicky mind as am sure it will all come in time plus the overall effect is still stunning.
August 3, 20205 yr EGPF Glasgow - GCLP Las Palmas both should be default so would be good to see, Glasgow home airport plus Gran Canaria.... well any of the Canary Islands have never been great in a default state.
