August 20, 20205 yr Guru3D tested MSFS with 30 graphic cards plus 8, 16, 32 GB of ram! August 20, 20205 yr Great comparison. I run a 2080Ti but am really hoping for the next crop of cards - not because I'll upgrade right away (sunk cost on my end...), but because the price/performance ratio of the new cards is going to give so many more folks the ability to run the sim in all its glory for much less cash... August 20, 20205 yr That was a good article. I'm seeing the same number at the different resolutions on both my 9900 and 3900. Thanks for posting this Sean Green
August 20, 20205 yr cant wait to see if they do one for CPU performance. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
August 20, 20205 yr Very interesting to see the 5700 XT outgun the RTX 2060 by a considerable margin, given they cost the same price and I believe theoretically they're quite similar. The days of nVidia dominance may be over when AMD's new high end cards arrive, certainly in the mid-range segment if you were stepping up from the excellent value 1660 Super the graph suggests the 5700 XT would be your next step at this time. August 20, 20205 yr I fired this up on my old 5930K and swapped in the 2080ti - blown away by well this runs. Enabling HT helped, as did running with 32GB memory - this thing needs GPU and bandwidth. For smoothness, Gsync enabled (and Vsync off). Threaded Optimization should also be on in NVCP.
August 20, 20205 yr Thank for posting! Usually people complain that sim doesn't tall graphic card enough. Here is completely opposite "Microsoft simply put did a fantastic job from a graphics point of view. Applying a recommendation as to how precise the sim is, I'll leave the other experts. The graphics can be both normal and sometimes exceptional. The focus on more detailed cities and airports is a crucial factor here" Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). August 20, 20205 yr glad i got the 2080 super instead of the 2080 ti as the latter only gives 4 fps increase in 1440p at double the price.
August 20, 20205 yr Of course my card - the RTX 2070 Max-Q is left off! I've learned though that the Max-Q architecture pretty much makes it equivalent to a GTX 1070 so that's the benchmark I look at.
August 20, 20205 yr Waiting for the Ampere cards next month to upgrade finally... hopefully this thing has and update/patches by then! SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

August 20, 20205 yr So, what would I need for my 2x 4K NVSurround front view to be able to stay at 30+ fps ?
