I'm not sure what this threads intent even is...  You're poor and can't afford much beyond basic amenities. That's fine.. Life isn't easy.. But what is this thread looking to achieve?

You can, it will be reduced to generic scenery.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD /  2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors

You shouldn`t have said that, you will defenately get bombarded here in the forum.I love this place.

I don't know if you can be completely offline when using, but I do know you can use it so that it doesn't use data.  Just don't expect it to look anything like the screenshots.

The difference between Online, the sim has access to 2 Petrabytes of scenery data.  Offline, approx, 100GB.

So I don't know It might look different when you only give the sim 1/20,000 of the scenery data those of us with online connections have.

Not sure if this was intended for me or not since you didn't quote anyone. Just in case it was for me.

I'm not making fun of him, I grew up poor, but this thread comes off as borderline grifting  for sympathy because they have to work harder to get what they want. Again, that sucks but what is even the point of this thread?

What? You don't want internet in 2020? What's next? Ugh, Then I have to get a monitor to actually see the sim?  I have to get a keyboard to type words?  What did you do when someone told you they no longer had a fax machine?  Did you complain you had to spend $1,500 to communicate in the modern world.  Was it frustrating when you were paging your friends and they were texting instead?

Don't forget add-ons and external controllers. 😀

Don't forget to add $1,400.00 for a 3090ti card!

To the OP, wait until the new XBOX is released and this game is released with the XBOX. You can save a lot of money and avoid buying a PC just for this (the XBOX will be much cheaper than a PC).

As for the Internet, also wait until the XBOX is released and this game is released for it and then find out at that time if manual cache works.  If manual cache works, you can potentially save money on an expensive internet connection by downloading the area you want to fly in.

However the cons of an XBOX and primarily using manual cache are:

1. If you fly outside your manual cache region, then with a poor internet connection, you may see poor scenery in other places

2. It’s uncertain if add ons and other interfaces for MSFS will work on the XBox.  For example, will VATSIM work with XBox?  What about some of the community mods?  If they don’t work with XBOX, you lose out in these additional features for MSFS.

3. Not all PC flight sticks and periperhals may work with XBOX so you have less selection of flight sticks to choose from.

Not sure why people aren’t being constructive and telling the OP that you can play this game for much cheaper because you can when the new XBOX comes out and this game is released for the new XBOX.

i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

OP I agree with @abrams_tank - getting an XB Series X is a way out of the PC $ trap but comes with some downsides as has been mentioned. However do remember it will be a very powerful system and its SSDs are blisteringly fast. It is kind of a locked (unupgradable) Windows PC in a way so I hope a lot of PC compatible peripherals work with it. The release is not that far off, still waiting on a price for that and the PS5.

I concur with the other users the direction for you may be the Xbox option.

There’s also the cheapest option: paper airplanes.......
