September 4, 20205 yr In FSX you could switch on progressive taxi, after ground clearance to taxi to the active. As I am taxiing, an instruction window pops up saying to follow on screen navigation?? FSX had the yellow arrows..Am I missing something? Thanks!

The main issue is that you can't toggle them on/off unless going into the menus, and like you said these are helpful when the airport taxiways are not labelled correctly for example. In order to address this, I've tweaked them so that they are unobtrusive and I've tried making them blending more naturally. For what it's worth, you might want to check this out: https://flightsim.to/file/19152/rxp-small-taxi-helpers-3d-vr Edited August 17, 20214 yr by RXP
August 17, 20214 yr There is an addon on flightsim.to to tone down the taxi ribbon. Personally I've never used the ribbon in fsx or msfs as I prefer to find my own way. You are probably aware of this, but some people may not be. I would avoid any addon that changes core files. However it might happen that it endlessly tries to install the same bunch of files in a loop, and this could happen sometimes when the files are read-only, or altered. In this case, restoring the backup prior any installation is fine, otherwise stopping the update, then deleting the files and starting the game again solves the "loop installing" case. In short: Just make a backup of the file you're modifying and restore it prior an update.

August 17, 20214 yr With my recipe, you can also make any size you want 🙂 Taxi Navigation Ribbon Asobo_UI modification details and recipe NB: the arrow size will also control how far away from the aircraft they are displaying. With a 15% size from the original, it displays between 3 to 4 in front and in the back. Edited August 17, 20214 yr by RXP
August 17, 20214 yr I don't think anyone mentioned this yet, but since SU5 the taxi ribbon can now be accessed from the AI Pilot dropdown menu in game.

Which really raises the question even more: why since Aug. 2020 there is no "toggle" event for this... Taxi Navigation Ribbon - Toggle - Self-Service / Wishlist - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums Having said this, with the small arrows and now the white/none parking variant, I'm really fine leaving this on always.
