It does about 1/2 turn into a spin readily, but I wasn't trying to spin it. September 5, 20205 yr Author As long as the sim control input device(s) are calibrated as necessary to allow full control deflections etc, the C152X can consistently be put in a fairly stable and I think quite realistic sustained spin. A small amount of up elevator trim and a little bit of power applied at the stall also helps increase the tendency to enter the spin. (There are some stall/spin tendencies in particular circumstances that I feel are currently not completely authentic to the real aircraft, where for example the sim aircraft may enter a spin in the opposite direction to that perhaps expected in real life etc. I think that may be down to the way the core simulation is currently operating and may not be easily adjusted.) Having said that, I think the stall/spin entry and the feeling created by the simulator once in the developed spin is very good and a big improvement over previous pc simulations I have experienced. Of course there are always going to be things that can be improved. I think the modified aircraft now allows an improved simulation of stall/spinning and if a pilot is not careful and manoeuvres too aggressively, especially at lower speeds, it is now quite possible to experience a loss of control, as can occur in real life.

September 5, 20205 yr Thank you so much for this. Can't wait to try it. A request, if I may: do you think it would be a good idea to add this to the MSFS section of the AVSIM library here? https://library.avsim.net/index.php

September 5, 20205 yr it feels different from the default C172, lands well and ha very strong drag from the full extendend flaps, perfect for bush flying. The engine seems to be more powerful and slighly less sensitive to the mixture. I don't know the real thing, but I think that would be better to compare it with the real perfomances, not just reading specs on the internet. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
